Yeah I thought you were maybe a year off it. Ooh we should organise a playdate
That would be great, let’s organise something when lockdown ends!
Oo, is it dancing she can try to imitate? Kiddo is very into the Just Dance videos and there’s a ton of them on the internet with various songs. Current fav is a Disney one, “Just Dance Disney Party - Calling All The Monsters”. GoNoodle also has a ton of good content on Youtube but they also have an app. Kiddo just put on The Floor is Lava in the other room.
Storybots songs like this Outer Space one are good too, not sure if your kid would be into the actual episodes. Come to think of it, though, Kiddo was very into Odd Squad on PBS Kids way before he could understand the math concepts they were trying to teach so maybe it’s worth a shot.
They’re not specifically videos to teach dancing if that makes sense. Just performance type pieces. We have a book “babies dancing around the world” or something like that, and I just look up clips on YT of those dances. She gleefully matches the book to the TV/phone screen and then flails her whole body while squealing delightedly.
She DOES stomp her feet to the flamenco, which is hilarious.
Numberjacks is educational, cute, and on YouTube. Though to be perfectly honest I haven’t seen enough of it to know if it’s brain-melting like Caillou and Peppa Pig.
The wiggler’s latest obsession is Magic Fingers and its imitators (note: no idea which is the original), which shows hands coloring in and adding glitter to fun little pictures.
He loves those too! I have more than once acquiesced to requests of “see Cassini pwobe.”
haha seems our husbands and our sons are peas in a pod!
We really need to get our families together again!
We uh… watch a lot of Cocomelon in the Beddingfeld household.
I like it better than Little Baby Bum… so there’s that. I tried Daniel Tiger and other PBS shows but he only likes music videos. He does really love Julie Andrews so Husband and I walk around the house humming “Doe, a deer, a female deer…”
Have you seen Julie’s Green Room on Netflix? Julie Andrews teaches drama to some muppet kids. May or may not work, but it’s worth a shot.
We have loved Molly from Denali, wild Kratts and dinosaur train on PBS Kids, Caspar baby pants videos which inevitably move into Laurie Berkener and she drives me crazy. I can’t get the songs out of my head so she’s banned in our house.
The 4K underwater nature shows are big hits here too
I loooove her hahahaha <3 But yes super catchy.
We play We are the Dinosaurs on repeat sometimes. My kids just stomp around and play act for like 15 minutes, it’s great, and totally worth listening to it for that long I do enjoy her songs, though, they’re not on the same level as, say, baby shark…
My kid is into The Floor is Lava. Thanks for that one, nanny hahaa
I like shouting 54321 blastoff another rocketship run. But I also still like Peppa pig. So my likes might be suspect
I think this is the thread where we were having the car seat discussion? Just coming back to report Lily has officially grown out of her bucket seat AT 6 MONTH’S OLD Her sister made it to 9 months before she was too tall. I made this discovery putting her in the seat so we could go to Target, so
My goodness that face is adorable!
She is so good and wonderful
Wow! Good timing, I guess!
The wiggler was able to fit in a bucket seat until he was well over a year old… more than 18 months, I think.
Why are duplo so expensive?
I know for sure this shit didn’t take $67 to make
Ditto magnitiles.
