I have the Magic Molecule spray, thought I’d try it out on eczema. I didn’t notice a difference besides smelling like a swimming pool lol
I was 5yos long time before 1979, and I was not allowed to leave the block on my own. People were terrible drivers and I dunno that drunk driving was even against the law at that time. Lol
We have the active skin repair and I didn’t notice anything other than my kids eczema being wet
if you were nearby I’d happily give you the rest of the bottle!
I’m gonna try it on mosquito bites now. Why not!!!
IDK if it stops the itching, but it stops the whining!
I should try that! I get really bad mosquito bites.
Something that has helped with the kids is that I put pimple patches (the ones that are just the hydrocolloid - no acne medication) on the bite. I think it helps a little with the itching but most importantly it prevents them from scratching directly on it.
I have a distinct memory of visiting my family in China when I was about 10, and being allowed to wander the village freely with my cousins. This was very rural China and through the “village” there were only dirt roads wide enough for bikes, no cars. We’d wander in and out of random people’s houses because everybody was somebody 3rd cousin or something like that. That was bliss.
It’s all gone now, of course
. All the younger folks moved to the city for jobs and the government has been tearing down the houses.
There’s no sidewalks in my neighborhood so my kids won’t be allowed to wander around until they’re a lot older.
Going to do the hydrocolloid! We end up putting bandaids AFTER scratching and scarring.
I love the hydrocolloid idea, I’m definitely going to give that a try
Thoughts/recommendations for headphones for a 2 year old?
I just got some that were on clearance at Target but word to the wise, cuckoo is NOT a fan. I think they take practice.
Yeah…my kids are really limited on how ling they will wear them. We got some that can do bluetooth as well, and have limiters.
I got the Belkin Soundform mini. It has volume limiters. My 2 year old enjoyed the idea of having headphones and the stickers that it comes with more than wearing them. My 5 year old wore the same model for the entire 5 hour flight across country with no complaints.
I was just talked into flying solo with my almost two year old and this is a very high recommendation, thank you!
Cheap. They were not accepted or treated well until 4.5 years +
I recommend the Bluetooth version. Not because we use the Bluetooth but because I can take out the cord and let my 2 year old play with the headphones without strangling herself
. The wired version you can’t detach the cord.
I’m not familiar with that specific brand, but I have sprayed my face with hypochlorous when I’ve been in what has felt to me like germy environments. I have definitely sprayed it on a bug bite and perceived reduction in itch. And it probably sounds weird, but I’ve also sprayed the inside of my nostrils when I felt extra exposed to my disgusting coworkers who come to work, coughing and sneezing, and snot all over things as if Covid never happened. It very well could be a coincidence, but despite there being tons of illness going around all summer, I have not gotten even the slightest cold all year.
I am aware of it being used commercially in medical or dental environments because it is supposedly more gentle yet very effective on sanitizing hard surfaces. I’m unsure if sanitize versus the other similar words like disinfect, etc is the right word cause I know they mean different things, but I can’t be bothered to look it up.
PS I am a terrible example because I buy the kind that you can make yourself. It’s meant for cleaning, but yes, I spray it on my face. I buy small capsules that I put in distilled water and some kind of machine that ionizes it or some kind of magic.
Has anyone tried hobibear shoes for their kids?
I want at least the indoor shoes to be a bit more minimalist than sketchers, but Reima are very expensive/nowhere local to try on.
Other good recommendations for normal looking minimalist shoes for kids? (Age 5 but feet are 3/4 sizes below mine
)
I got a size up but they haven’t worn them yet, but the kids minimalist shoe group I’m in loves them- often cited as the best value wide toe box etc shoe.
I love the look for Little Love Bug, they’re a company here in Portland, but idk if they ship internationally. Splay slides are adorable. Wildlings are gorgeous but omg the cost, so we’ve never bought them.
Here’s a nice master list,
Does Sierra sell up there? They get Xero and Reima sometimes for cheap cheap. They recently had some wonderful looking Plae shoes but they were too narrow for Latte.
I’m currently tempted to buy these for Latte because she looooves “astronaut shoes”
