Most genetic baldness comes from the motherâs father.
My father went very bald very young and my poor Waffles has glorious locks of hair that sadly almost certainly wonât be accompanying him into adulthood 
. My brothers get to keep their hair, their maternal grandfather had gloriously thick hair.
The genetics of baldness is more complex than that and other genes can influence it so itâs not like if your motherâs father didnât go bald and you did infidelity must be afoot! If your motherâs father was very bald and so were all 4 of his brothers and you are a xy chromosome person, you are going to lose your hair. Sorry Waffles.
Edit: Kateâs dad has thick hair. Is it all real though? Did William ultimately marry Kate in order to restore hair to the throne?

As far as I understand we have infinitely more effective treatments in the past few years than we did before for baldness, so probably going to be even better in another decade.
But also bald can look great and confidence looks the best so I hope people feel like they can rock it and donât feel like they have to do the treatments

Yeah tell that to Ponder whose maternal grandfather had thick hair, while Ponderâs been getting thinner since he was mid-20âs. Fortunately it turns out I am unbothered, and nobody else matters 
Duckling also has a maternal grandad with a thick crop of hair in his 50âs so that might work out better for him.
Glad to see Kate appears somewhat OK.

Someone who just had abdominal surgery and has needed to stay out of the public eye for this long wouldnât be walking so easily and carrying that giant bag.
Plus it hasnât been enough time to grow out the bad bangs.
