Pregnancy is weird

Sure!

We’ve been hit by a mild wave of gastro and it finally got my husband last night so I’ve been wrangling my 30 lb toddler solo. My whole body hurts. Messaging my doctor to see if I can get a massage (they have me on limited physical activity due to SCH though not sure if that’s really merited).

We need to move the toddler into a toddler bed because I can not do this whole leaning over the crib rail anymore.

@galliver. Thank you! I’m due May 7. Is that about when you are too?

Nope, I’m in July. Only at week 6! I’ll look to you for what I can expect coming up. Granted every experience is individual. For example, no morning sickness here yet, although I definitely feel late meals/snacks more than normal!

Sorry to hear it’s a tough week. :disappointed:

Ah, I’d lost track! Glad nausea isn’t hitting you too much.

With that in mind, I think you’re gonna do great

Oh nooooooo that sounds really awful. Hopefully a toddler bed can be procured and the toddler will take to it easily :crossed_fingers:

This is why my then 15-month-old wound up in a bed! (It went surprisingly well, actually.)

We’ve had our 28-pounder on a full-size floor mattress since a little older than age 1 and our little guy loves it. He was waking up screaming angry that he was penned in. (His crib converts to a toddler bed, but I was waiting to buy the attachment and it sold out, plus floor mattress was already in the room and closer to the ground.) It’s comfy for parents on rough nights too. Hope the transition goes well for you and the back pain can stop!

Turned down a fun work trip. :frowning:

As an engineer I love the times when my desk job has field work, and since it’s transient/rare it would Probably Be Fine but it’s easier to hold a boundary of “no industrial spaces with weird chemicals ever” rather than trying to decide case by case.

Dear diary, today I called in to 4hours of meetings/presentations and then needed a nap. Very possible I will nod off mid fitness class.

Is it normal to have impostor syndrome? Like, when my cramps subside and I’m feeling normal for a bit I’m like, did I fool the test? All coughs of them and the blood test too? This can’t like, actually be for real, right? :grimacing:

Haha yes very normal in my experience

Very very normal.

Standard first trimester yes.

Especially if it took a while and some effort to get those lines.

Glocose tolerance and other blood tests today. Drank the flat orange soda, now sitting here quietly for an hour. Glad I don’t have nausea! This would be impossible  Looking forward to another HCG data point to hopefully ease my concerns? :grimacing:

I never had my HSG measured during any of my usual bloodwork, or at least, never reported to me. I also never asked for it, but wanted to warn you. Which is a little surprising because they literally measure EVERYTHING it seems like.

Me too. I was never given an hsg number for either pregnancy.

They didn’t do a pregnancy blood test in your intake? The fertility doc sent me for an early one but I think the nurse listed it in the intake prenatal panel, too. (I tried to save them money and me blood by asking if any of the fertility tests I literally just had could be referenced instead, but the nurse was not prepared to go off script…)
