Pregnancy is weird

Just looked them up and am obsessed with this sizing framework, as someone who is entering the threshold where the distance between my rib and bust measurement is making my life harder

Team busty. Team relieved busty sizing is a thing.

Team I really need to order one of their sports bras.

If you like kindred bravely but escape their sizes, Molke in scotland are incredible

Absolutely w good time to get some not-newborn sizes, and maybe 1 newborn box.

Costco sizes start at size 1, but that’s a point. NB diapers are a thing :joy: Latte was so big she came out of the hospital wearing size 1s so this is good to remember.

Thanks for the reminder - I need to buy some diapers.

Normal NIPT and NT results yesterday. NIPT confirmed the sex… unless baby one day tells us otherwise, we’re having a boy!

The ultrasound tech captured a video of him leaping. I know the hormones are already coming for my brain, because I do genuinely think he’s so much cuter than other fetuses.

This was the milestone I was waiting for to tell extended family and close friends who don’t live in Denver, so telling folks has been fun.

Idk why I’m getting all my nausea in 2nd tri. All kinds of tests and docs best guess is my constipation is leading to not digesting fast and just having stuff sitting in my stomach for too long.

I was advised to eat slower but I basically eat like Kirby and I don’t know how to slow down. Also I get nauseous both when I’m tok hungry and too full which is a load of shit.

Random question, pregnancy edition.

What is a proper, understandable and not weird sounding name for the muscles on the front of my groin that hurt ALL THE TIME

It’s probably not muscles? It’s most likely pelvic girdle pain, that’s incredibly common. If it’s super sharp and deep and upon movement, it’s probably round ligament pain.

ETA you can also find info under “symphysis pubis dysfunction”

Hmm it’s hard to tell. It could be either. Basically hurts whenever I go from sitting to standing, which makes me think RLP from the stretching out? Also was trying to do bird dog pose which reeeeally got it going.

Also I swear hobbit meals are based off pregnant people.

Time for afternoon tea.

Basically, if it’s deep achy, I would assume it’s symphysis pubis, and if it’s sharp and short-lived, I would assume round ligament pain. And there’s nothing to say you can’t have both! I sure do

Oh my god yes this is the worst. I’m hungry, so I eat, but I can’t eat enough because I get full and/or heartburn. But then I’m hungry again 20 min later. Whyyyy.

ETA oh and don’t forget the nausea if I don’t eat fast enough when I’m hungry.

YES. I’m usually a big meals twice a day person; I like to eat, a lot, all at once. Keeping food available and easy to prep constantly is so so annoying. But now my choices are eating a little bit every 2 hours or so or eating like I normally do and feeling sick and useless as a result.

Just think of it as getting yourself into the habit for when your child is here. Toddlers have to eat every 3-ish hours. 3 meals and 2 snacks per day, but our snacks are more like little meals anyway because we always give options on the plate.

  • I used this logic with my pregnancy insomnia too. I just told myself that it was prepping my brain to function on very little sleep once baby was here.

I’ve totally been doing this logic
