It is gorgeous!
Thank you for the brunch wedding outfit planning assistance! I bought this dress on Friday to wear: https://www.loft.com/petite-shimmer-mock-neck-sweater-dress/521243?skuId=28643364&defaultColor=2222&catid=catl000036&selectedColor=2222
It fits perfectly, and I got a long necklace and some fun earrings to go with it. I also finally said yes to the store credit card there (15% off + $15 off my purchase), so the whole shebang was $57, and I’ll wear tights and boots I already own. I’ll post a pic next weekend
Post holiday shopping and dinner out.
Looking back on it, this was probably a bit too casual for work. Whoops? Maybe if I switch the riding boots to pointy flats or heeled booties? The sweater is super comfortable and warm though so I’m in love with it. I struggle with finding good sweaters and we need them so rarely here.
This dress was an amazing thrift store find. Genuine wool, Calvin Klein houndstooth dress with leather accents. Worn with thermals and spiky leather boots. It’s a bit big on me now and I’m constantly debating taking it apart to slim it down a bit.
This is how I’m dressed for laundry night. These pink pants and my black stretchy dress are my favourite pieces of clothing. I wore these pants under my green Christmas dress (floor length) for half of Christmas day because I am not going to cheat on my pants.
Had to show off kiddos version of resort wear. Button up shirt, shorts with dino foot prints, Batman crocs and a Buzz Lightyear jet pack to pull the whole thing together. Not shown is a day-glo yellow backpack.
I dig your kid’s moxie.
Bought new to me jeans at a thrift shop, which motivated me to put together an outfit I like, which helped me actually feel good about myself today!
Edit: made a decision that I’m only going to post my face in the non-open parts of the forums, so here’s a version without my beautiful face
I love that jacket!
It amuses me that the preview is of me blocking my face, instead of, y’know, the outfit.
Cute! I love the dogs!
I might need to get that dress…
I got it in a thrift shop! Actually over half of that outfit is either thrifted or stolen from my brother.
Thank you for mentioning the preview. I did not realize that I could click on the picture and get a better picture of the dress! It is a great dress.
I worried my top was a little va va voom for elementary school but I wore it any way. I like this top! But I dunno.
That is a GREAT dress and you look great in it.
(Do… I… try to knit a sweater dress? Because that dress looks like it would be fun to knit.)
Sure! I wouldn’t be able to tell you how as I bought it as Ross for $13.99. But a hand-knit version sounds amazing! I will tell you the scarf is separate, but came with the dress. So that’s kind of fun.
I hate how this dress ends up being more empire waistline than the more natural waistline I prefer. But it’s super cozy and easy to wear and has lovely deep pockets so I just always suck it up and whine to myself about the waistline. I think the assumption was that someone who purchased this size would have no boobs because the proportions look right when dress is flat.
