You luck out from lots of clothing swaps!
I have built an entire wardrobe from swaps. Including socks, shoes, and bras. It’s kind of crazy.
My hair looks like that most days, so I hope it’s OK!
+1 Mine too!
Your hair looks lovely…but the only kind of hair I can imagine being in appropriate for a kids birthday party is if you shave in swear words, sex scenes or graphic violence. And in that case you’d be innaproouate most places and probably okay with it. A weed leaf should be fine, everyone would say it’s a Maple leaf.
Now that I’m back at a real keyboard - thank you everyone for all the curly hair comments. I don’t hang around curly haired people normally somehow, so most of my impressions of curly hair come from tv and movies where women just happen to wake up with perfect wavy hair with highlights and full face make up. I know that’s not accurate but still working on figuring out what is by hanging out on the curly hair subreddit.
So, today was jeans and a black t shirt, but topped with an ankle length black velvet duster, a long scarf with skulls and Jack o lanterns, and a witch hat with orange polka dots and a black and orange feather boa around the brim. In other words, the usual for the last week of October, and it’ll only get weirder from here. My students were entertained.
That sounds like an awesome outfit. (Pics of the duster especially? )
I’m too lazy to take a picture (or put my pants back on, tbh), but today’s outfit was jeans and a purple Ruth Bader Ginsburg t-shirt.
I am wearing a t-shirt dress and boots. I noticed I feel particularly badass when wearing a skirt/dress and boots, so I’m gonna make that happen more often.
Only three more weeks of bathroom selfies in this bathroom! (Then I move up five floors and see what that one looks like!)
Boots are empowering - time to kick ass and take names!
I am the same way! It’s something about the femininity of the dress plus the bad assness of the boots I think. It’s just so good.
Yes! Boots have power.
Double yes. Kicking ass in pants is one thing, but being so badass you can kick butt while also wearing feminine attire? Extra badassity.
Men’s black dress pants, purple T-shirt, black cardigan, black scarf with jack-o’-lanterns and purple witch hats on it, actual witch hat with some purple webbing and a black and purple feather boa stapled around the rim. Frugality bonus: all witch hats, feather boas, and scarves over the last couple of days came from dollar tree over the last several years.
I like to call this the “leather and lace” aesthetic – mixing something that feels very feminine with something that feels tough/masculine. It is such a lovely outfit space to be in.
Didn’t mean to ignore you, but I left it in my office when I headed home from work yesterday, and then I forgot it again today. I got it at the thrift store at least 10 years ago…
My “technically not pajamas but almost as cozy” outfit for a trip to the dentist and day full of errands and chores.
What a great shirt!! I love owls
Full-on hobbit costume.
