The pants are great!

Yes! I found these at Costco and they are straight leg instead of skinny leg! They feel roomy and comfortable. I think they are supposed to hit at the top of the ankle and on me they are about 2 inches shorter, but I still like them.

Backwards maxi dress! My boobs look huge, and the v neck looks weird in the back, but it’s better than being 80% cleavage.

The platforms look like granny squares. They are absurd and I adore them!

I was a bit annoyed with this shirt. I had to keep pulling on it to keep it from just totally gaping open and showing my bra. It also added a bit of volume around my middle section. I think I might wear it with leggings next time instead of a skirt that also has lots of volume.

I love that outfit! I have a similar skirt and I wear it all the time. Where did you get both (the skirt and the blouse)?

Thank you! They were both hand-me-downs from my sister (well, I think the shirt is borrowed, I have to give it back if she ever needs to go back to the office), but the shirt brand is Pepperberry and the skirt is Rene Margo.

I got some cheap fashion belts to go with my maxi dresses but now I’m not sure how to put them together? It doesn’t seem like it should be that hard, and yet that’s not going to stop me from overthinking this. Do these look right?

Spoilered for length

Underbust or natural waist?

The black dress has some structure to it already which I like. (Sorry for the streaky mirror, I always forget to clean it.) Red belt is overlapping the existing structure of the dress. Yellow belt is at my natural waist.

I think the yellow belt looks best at your natural waist, as will most belts. The other belt you have, which has kind of medieval/bustier vibes, IMO is meant to be worn right under the bust. I think if you try to wear that one at your natural waist it will kind of creep up over the course of the day. A good way to pair accessories to outfits is to think of the garment and the accessories separately and ask, “are these two items going to the same party?” So for example, I would tend not to pair and elaborate laced belt with the striped dress, that striped dress seems like a relaxed sporty gal who is fun and likes some pop!, the belt seems a bit romantic and like a nod to the past, a bit fussier. That’s why, IMO, the fancy red belt looks more compatible with the black dress- that black dress has a romantic vibe, it could feel a bit vintage in a certain way, so the corsetry on the belt makes sense; they could be going to the same party. That yellow belt would probably look good with the striped dress.
