Objects of Desire

I want to be warm and cozy all the time. I’ve never had an electric mattress pad or full blanket, but my electric heating pad has been :sparkles: life-changing :sparkles:. Of course, my current one came with a bunch of warnings not to fall asleep with it, so…maybe I’ll upgrade this year?

Gotta do more research!

Somewhere between 2 and 5 million dollars. Mostly on a new house

The heated mattress pad is so expensive here! And I could get an electric blanket cheaply, used. So I got the blanket and put it under my fitted sheet. It heats up deliciously and I cover myself in very thick blankets and it turns into the happiest coziest bed in the world.
Plus if I ever want to use it as a blanket I can.

@Smacky that sounds like a truly wonderful plan. I might need to steal it.

We’re going to have a frost this week and I am not prepared…

If you (or a friend) has a Costco membership they might still have their electric mattress pad and blanket selection. They only bring in briefly but best prices on them by far.

I got a blanket from this company from fabfitfun. It’s a nice blanket. But I would still buy one at Costco and then give $50 to the Humane Society.

I’d really like a puppy. @diapasoun shared a picture of her parents’ puppy and now it’s all I can think about. NEED PUPPY

Do you want me to send you pictures of when LilPup destroyed our brand new black stainless fridge to help temper this desire?

Right. I know that I absolutely do not have the time, energy, resources, space in my current life for puppy shenanigans. I just also really want puppy snuggles and puppy joy right now, because life is UGH.

I need a loaner?

LilPup still has puppy energy. For the love of god, take her away whenever you want :grimacing::laughing:

I’m still thinking about these! I could get the refillable one in B5 and do the giant planner thing I’ve been thinking about with different filler notebooks/sections…

Ugh. So many things right now. Upright freezer. New shoes. Water softener for the house. New baseboards in both bathrooms (and for someone ELSE to paint, install, and caulk them), a house cleaner, a meal service, a once a week baby sitter, a Christmas tree, Christmas stockings, a new exercise bike (our well loved vintage airdyn may have died a permanent death unless we pay someone to machine a discontinued part). Etc.

My neighbours to improve their bbq use and stop making so much smoke. My front and backyard smell awful. They’ve been using it more and more. It’s not even 10AM and I can’t go out in my own damn yard.

I would also like this for you, after experiencing it last weekend!

I’ve told myself that if I still super want it in March (an M.D. have kept up the pace of journaling until then), I will get it as a birthday present to myself!

But I also think that getting a refillable one sounds like an eminently practical planner solution, that a responsible financial forum should be encouraging :stuck_out_tongue:
