Where does one acquire said $20 robe for warmer weather?
I would have laundry concerns about the lacy bits but you already have other lacy things so that shouldn’t be an issue. I say go for it.
Bathrobes are a good self care/mental health purchase. I say this as someone whose offspring has commandeered one of my light weight bathrobes recently. He runs hot, we live in a hot state, and yet he insists that he loves it because it keeps him “nice and cozy”.
I think I either got it from JC Penney or Nordstrom Rack, on big sale. It was totally a Google search for lightweight robe under “shopping” that led down a long trail of stores, though.
There are a lot of them on this website with very few ethics: https://us.shein.com/pdsearch/robe/
This is legit me. My robe I’ve had for 18 years was a hand-me-down from my mom - it’s a full-length satin outside, fuzzy inside robe from victoria’s secret originally. And then my other robe was a gift from my mom, and it makes me look like a panda. It is also fuzzy. Both are very very warm outside of the most wintery of months. I hadn’t actually expressed I wanted a summer robe to my mom, but I low key hoped she would intuit that I did.
I want a new winter dressing gown. Mine is super old and has a lot of holes. But it has to be long and have pockets and be huge without being too big. It might not exist.
I feel like this forum might appreciate the dressing gown I made a couple of years ago out of this crazy cat mermaid fabric
Whaaaaaat yes yes yes
I appreciate this a lot.
Where does one look for costume dressing gowns? I tried etsy and it failed me.
yesssss purrmaids
For what kind of costume?
I wouldn’t mind being a panda or bunny while wandering around my house, improperly dressed.
You can find panda + bunny robes used on poshmark or ebay or depop! If you want to go slightly less ethical, forever 21, amazon, and walmart all have them.
Current wants:
- More art (always more art)
- Block printing supplies
- Smol patio furniture
- Smol outdoor rug
Glass pantry jars.
Square would make better use of the space though.
Oooh pretty.
I want big storage containers but my plan was plastic, and I’m torn between Tupperware™ and OXO™.
I should not dye my hair purple right now, but it does seem like if I’m ever going to do it, now is the time.
(My 2" of roots are 50% grey 50% brown, the rest of my hair was red-brown and now just brown-brown. I do not have the skillz to strip out existing color and purple over brown would be no bueno.)
My husband is lusting after a BIG thing - he wants the new Plug-in Hybrid RAV-4 that is being released this summer. We have a plug-in Prius and a level 2 (fast) charger in our garage and he is convinced that our car is too small for 2 car seats. I think he can keep lusting after it, because it is as close as he’s going to get!
