One of these please. Oh and enough income to not need to work while travelling around in it.

I want this light to hang over my bed. Currently thinking through how I could make an approximation.

I think that kitchen is like bigger than my house. :stuck_out_tongue:

(It is a nice kitchen though.)

Oh man, this reminds me of last weekend when we went to a former coworker’s house for a party.

They had a kitchen perhaps ever so slightly smaller than this, PLUS an enormous indoor/outdoor-ish deck with a wet bar and multi-thousand dollar smoker. Combined the space between their TWO KITCHENS is WELL over the square footage of our first apartment.

It was gorgeous. I was briefly tempted to throw FIRE out the window and work toward THAT.

Then after a few hours in it and a few drinks and good food I realized having it wouldn’t make me happy and I would much rather continue my frugality while taking advantage of the luxuries of my friends

Having friends with luxuries different from your own is so nice

Yeah, that kitchen isn’t ever likely to happen for me. It clocks in around $800k. I don’t want to spend more than half that on a house with land, so… yeah. But it’s pretty. I’m more likely to retrofit some commercial gear to make it look nicer, I’ve been eyeing some of the restaurant auctions locally for a 60" gas range for cheap.

Agreed. For example, friends with pool access

My experience is that the more high end the kitchen the less it’s used.

That’s probably true. I tend to spend a couple hours a day cooking, and mostly I just want more space to move around in and prep stuff. Also a bigger range so I can have more pots and pans in play at once. Ooh, and decent lighting. That always seems hard to find.

I remember looking at a house and loving the kitchen, and then realizing there was nowhere to put my kitchenaid mixer. :woman_shrugging:t3:

Why is there no wry emoji?

My objects of desire are the Fluevogs what are on an extra 15% off sale this weekend (funky blue or grey? or be conservative with black?) And maybe in the next sale these lovelies will be available:
