That’s the one :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I have a 6 and recommend it if you ever plan to cook for multiple people or have leftovers. You can use it for smaller portions (eg 1c rice), but you have the option of going big (eg rack of ribs, 3lb pork shoulder).

Not exactly an “object”, but a 6"x6" section of husband’s shoulder to be waxed or shaven so when I’m the big spoon I don’t get hair in my nose when I breathe in.

I often wish that Wizard would braid his hair at night because snuggles sometimes turn into “Wizard’s hair attempts to choke/eat me.”

I have never been more sure in both my lack of sexual/cuddle interest in men, and happier in my decision to co-sleep approx. no more than 5x a year.

Now that you mention it, I also want chocolate fudge brownie ice cream.

I’m not all that picky, either. Edy’s would do in a pinch…

I want a kitchen blow torch.

This is a night light that projects the solar system onto the wall/ceiling. I didn’t know this was a thing but I’m at Home Depot waiting for my husband to decide which color of white he wants for our basement light bulbs and I wandered over to the fun light bulb section. I might ask for this for my birthday

The Objects of Desire fairy worked again! I’ve wanted to get protein shakes for easy breakfasts and hikes, but didn’t want to buy more plastic. Yesterday someone put a protein shaker on Buy Nothing, but I still had the dilemma of where to buy protein powder that isn’t packaged in plastic. Today, well… the fairy worked overtime.

  • a working phone (need and to be shipped Monday but WOW have I become dependent on fancy smartphone features!)
  • a chocolate melanger or wet grinder (soooo don’t need this but I have lots and lots of raw cacao beans that are now asking to be made into chocolate)

I did not even know this was a thing you could do at home.

And now I kind of want to too.

I got the Thermapen Classic for the 4th sale. It arrived today. It is slightly less fancy than the Mk4 but just as accurate and $20 cheaper (in addition to being 25% off from the sale). I tested it on a yogurt batch. It is sooooooo fast. And calibrated (with NIST calibration certificate) and guaranteed to be accurate to 0.7*F.

I feel so fancy.

I’m so happy. I’ve been thinking about this for a loooooong time.

Circling back to the very start of this thread…it isnt the exact machine, but it was less than a third of the price and should fill the espresso machine shaped hole in my heart. And isn’t it pretty in cranberry? Now to master actually making espresso.
BES870 from factory outlet for $400 in perfect condition.

Very pretty indeed!

It’s very pretty and must be much beloved to give that much counter space to. It doesn’t appear you have much counter space (how do you survive with such a tiny kitchen? I complain about the size of my kitchen all the damn time and it might be bigger than yours?) so I think you must love it very much.

Oh man I was thinking the same thing.
