Objects of Desire

I’d wager you could get one on lend from Australia at the moment :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Oh dear :upside_down_face:

I need a new pair of shoes, the soles on my favourite leather sneakers (suitable for work or walking all day!) suddenly disintegrated. I’ve been wanting to try out this brand for a while…

Ooh, those look nice. Edit: Dang, they have wool insoles.

Ah they’re not vegan/ vegetarian? Bummer.

So like… it’s my birthday and I want this pusheen dress and I 100% do not need it.

That looks like a stone cold need to me, brokey mcwrist.

If I used my broken wrist as a reason to buy things I would have a $300 shopping cart full of fancy bras and weird japanese clothes.

Do I need to repost the “Treat yo self” gif?

I think all my money is going to “treating myself” to taking a few days off from work and paying for freaking bus rides for the next month since I can’t bike.

I respect your adulting but hope that you indulge in a small amount of wallowing.

I mean… Yeah, I’m going to spend about $300+ on clothes and toys for myself for my 30th birthday this weekend because I’m depressed about not having the time/energy/people to have a party, sooooo you buying a dress for your birthday that you’re spending with a broken wrist seems sensible to me!

$10 per year isn’t so bad for a gift

Will you get enough wear out of it to make the purchase worth it? If so, woo! If not, meh

How do you even quantify that for a pusheen dress? Once? Twice?

Object of desire acquired–new-to-me road bike with all kinds of fancy features that my old one doesn’t have. Functional brakes, more than one useable gear, round wheels…plus it’s pretty . I could have kept patching up the old one a little longer, but the fact that I left it unlocked repeatedly in a college town with a known bike theft problem and people kept declining to steal it was probably a hint.

Do the fancy bras make it easier to clasp them with a broken wrist? That seems like a need.

I love how much we enable each other on this thread. I just ordered an oval banneton basket, a dough whisk, and two cheesecloth/nut milk bags (as well as a couple other things for the house). I also started a free trial of Amazon Prime so I can watch Good Omens

I want this fancy and expensive composter

Compost in 4 weeks! My pile takes a year and I’m still getting pumpkin sprouts whenever I’ve used it.
