I never pondered looking on eBay for spices. Duuuuuude. I need to do the pricing on that when my brain works again.
Do you need 3 1/2 pounds of it? It’s a better buy than than two-pack
Honestly, we’d use it… Sazon is good in everything.
I’ve never used that! What are some things you put it in?
Rice, stir fry, soup, burrito fillings, etc… it’s just delicious.
I’ve never tried the tropical!!
A thing I wanted was the same price on the company website and on amazon but amazon had free shipping. I emailed the company and now I have a free shipping code for their website. I get the thing and am paying the same but bezos doesn’t get a cut!
YESSSS! Nice work!
ugh.
Even the contractors that Amazon hires to build their warehouses can’t hire union subcontractors. The family business is a union sheet metal shop and my Dad was about to sign a contract to do a huge job making ductwork for a bunch of new warehouses throughout Ohio and the contractor said “you guys aren’t union right?” and my Dad said that they were and the contractor was like “sorry we’re going to have to go with someone else, we can’t hire anyone union.” It takes a lot to get my whitebread, suburban, upper-middle-class, business owning, steak and potatoes, “I vote Republican because they are better for business”, "I don’t understand why you and your Mom won’t shop at Wally World " (yes he calls Walmart Wally World), Dad to boycott your company, but Amazon succeeded.
Does anyone know if Chewy is substantially better than Amazon? I have been switching my pet food/litter orders to them, but as they are so big, I don’t know how in-line with my values they are. Unfortunately my local pet store (part of a smaller chain) charges like 2x the price on all items as these online places do so I don’t really want to go there.
Chewy was bought by Petsmart a few years ago. I still use them, though, my local stores don’t carry my dog and cat prescription foods, and at least they aren’t making Jeff Bezos more money
Uhoh. This phrasing suggests to me that Petsmart has Big Problems. Do they have any besides the usual corporate bullshit?
Not that I know of! I used Chewy when it was new-ish and liked that it was started by a 25 year old, even though it was always very much just as corporate growth minded as Petco/Petsmart etc. I mention the Petsmart thing mostly because I’ve met a few people locally who think Chewy is equivalent to Chuck&Don’s, a regional chain of pet stores that worked to transition ownership to employees by end 2020 (but ended up being sold and I suspect that plan was not completed).
Ahhhh yeah. No. That at least is not a fallacy I was operating under, hahahahaha.
I’m realizing as I post here and there today that my lack of sleep and lack of caffeine is making me a dummy today - as soon as I started typing that response to you my actual response was “Duhhhhhh of course nobody here is going to confuse Chewy/Petsmart for the boutique down the street”

I mean, I can imagine it happening in other cities, too.
Unless they’ve change some practices, Petsmart basically runs puppy mills.
UGH.
heads up…
I ordered something through Ebay in an effort to thwart Amazon (little spike mats to keep the mice out of my new-to-me fridge), but it was a new in box item and when it arrived it was in an amazon box. Apparently resellers are taking advantage of folks not wanting to use amazon, adding just a few cents, and then shipping them as GIFTS to people.
FRICK.
FFFFFFFRICK.
Oh wow. That’s low.
