We did about an hour and a half yesterday!
Nothing today I’m assuming, because we have swimming booked tonight
About 45 mins outside today! Walked over to the park after returning from daycare. Glad the weather allows for it. It’s a good transition for him.
Got to the park for 30 mins yesterday and a full hour today. Mr Pug watched little man so I could take Puglet alone.
Total outside time 2022 = 13.5 hours
I need to average 3.5 hours a day to get to 1,000 hours by the end of the year.
I realized that… Meowlet goes outside a lot at daycare so my count is not going to be accurate? So really this is “Meowkins Outside Time” now. LMAO…
Meowlet: 40hrs
Meowkins: 7hrs
He’s winning LOL
I’m in the same boat here. I’m just tracking time where Puglet is with me or Mr Pug. Not a perfect system ![]()
It’s a nice day so we brought the girls to the playground. Of course so they want to do is swing, which they can do at home.
It’s insane to me how much easier parenting is on good weather spring days. We spent 1hr15 chasing trash trucks and school busses in her stroller with the dog, came back for pit stop and dropping the dog off, then spent 1hr30 at a park having a picnic snack then with a bunch of other kids her age. There was a little girl she clicked with and her dad was being super involved, so I literally sat on a bench and did a word search for like 15 min without needing to do ANYTHING. It was incredible.
Yesterday was similarly good weather, and lots of outside time with other kids around. It’s soooo much easier when other people come out too!
For REAL. having someone else be the center of attention is like… so relaxing
My neighbors once joked I must judge out of staters for being so fair weather (they’re from CO and can’t handle our rainy days lol, but they see us out and about a lot) and I was like, no I don’t judge them, I just wish they would come out anyway so that surviving winter solo with a toddler and no care was easier ![]()

the flavor is much more “desperate” than “judgmental” ![]()
Yeah we had our first indoor play date last weekend. A neighbor from.downstairs. it was so so so so awesome. The kids just did parallel play for like 2 hours! Amazing
Took both kids on an hour walk. Pushing the double stroller was a big workout
 for me.
Old shower chair. Squeeze bottles with water with red food coloring in one and blue in the other. Ice cube tray, pitcher thing I got from ikea, beach set cup.
She’s just. Playing. On her own. Outside. While I’m inside. I have no idea what to do with myself. She’s not within 3 feet of me? Is this what parenting is like for some other people?!
 I’ve never felt so adrift.
We all got out this afternoon for a walk. Stopped at a cafe that’s owned by our neighbors, popped into the library for some books, then a stop at the park. Puglet is passed out for a nap and I think I’ll join him.
total outside time in 2022 = 16.5 hours
Living the dream!!!
OK this is hilarious. So even though they’re technically food safe, I don’t exactly want her drinking a ton of food coloring. So we’ve asked her not to drink the water. Well, she’s come over a couple times and closed the slider door before surreptitiously sneaking back and glancing around and trying to drink it. And she keeps being baffled that we can still see her being naughty ![]()
So clever. And yet ![]()

Kiddo still tells me to close my eyes before he tries to stand on our coffee table. May Latte have similar sneaky skills for years.
I’m going to have to try to remember that response for when the wiggler tells me he’s bored.
I got Kiddo outside in his pool for a bit before “homework” and dinner (homework is reading a book) and then after dinner since it was still sunny and he mentioned ninjas I suggested we go outside to practice our ninja skills and got another thirty minutes. Good thing since today is very rainy.
Temperature in the 40s? Why yes we will get out for 45min before dinner! This weekend is supposed to be similar, so hoping to put a big dent in melting the remaining snow. Come on, spring!
