Yesterday was two short walks and some time on the elliptical + PT.
Change of plans. Woke up today to rain and a migraine, so no neighborhood walk. Maybe some yoga later.
Went clothes shopping (ughhhhhhhh but 'twas desperately needed), thereby exercising my legs and patience
I’m always surprised and infuriated how physically taxing clothes shopping is. I always come out sweating.
oh my god I’m so glad I’m not the only one!! seriously it’s like a full-on contact sport
I have to check in with myself on energy reserves and limit how many times I’m going to take clothes off and put clothes on again, that’s how exhausted and cranky I get :c
Can taking an epsom salt bath count? I need it every once in a while but hate having to clean a tub down before using it even though it takes five minutes. I also biked 10 miles to/from work. Somehow the bath was harder lol.
Soooo much yes to the clothes stuff. Unless I’m in an independent boutique I’d rather try things on at home. I get so sweaty and impatient in the store
Took the stairs at work for the entirety of my work day even though I feel super low energy. I like the way my muscles feel when I take each step with intention. ESPECIALLY AROUND MY BUTT!
I practiced my Tai Chi and walked to daycare and back.
Aren’t butts SO COOL?! I’m not even kidding here, they’re awesome.
For other butt lovers:
“This is a story about your butt. It’s a story about how you got your butt, why you have your butt, and how your butt might be one of the most important and essential things for you being you, for being human.”
Well gawd bless. Now I have something to listen to in the car tomorrow. THX!
Plans changed, again. I missed the bus (because, according to Google, it was eight minutes early), so I had to racewalk to the other end of the neighborhood to catch a different bus. In shoes not made for that.
So that’s how I actually moved today.
knees hurting on the stairs today. I suspect it is the laptop being carried to and from work. I’m going to ask if I really need to do the business continuity take home thing still.
Maybe if I just indicate that I’m ok if I’m forced to take unpaid time off if it turns out I am stuck at home with just a personal laptop and cell phone to follow work email & slack? I like saving my $6/day, and walking is good for my mental health.
I took the kiddo to the park. It was supposed to just be down the street and back to get zoomies out, but we caught the neighbour going for a walk with her dog, so we went for zoomies on the oval. I’m pooped.

Diving into the episode right now, thanks for starting my day off right.
10 minutes of gentle yoga targeting upper back/neck/shoulders.
20 minutes of full body flow worked up a nice sweat and feels like it helped shake some things loose.
