Duoling and spending tracking done.
Did not do the meditation.
Final day! My goal was to do at least 1 stretch or strength training move a day. I did 6/7 days each week. The days I skipped were busy ones doing family stuff and I normally did a long walk on those days. I usually did 1 thing on most days, but it laid the ground work to be less stiff and then also doing something longer 1-3x a week. Way more than I have done in months!
I am planning to keep this up.
Final check-in:
-Foam roll every day: yup. Success this week and all month.
-Lunges every day: yup. Success this week and all month. I still hate lunges lol
-Listen to 30 minutes of music every day: 100% this week. A previous week I skipped a bunch of days but then listened to enough music to make up for it time-wise, but this week it was nice to actually have it more of a daily habit, surprise surprise
Final check in:
- Well, I never did any of my PT exercises, pretty much
- I did get better at moving my body on purpose and going outside and going for walks. Once we didn’t have 18 inches of slush on the ground this was much easier, lol.
- It’s also way easier to do this now that there is sunlight past like 3pm!
I probably averaged 75% of days, which is good for me. Whee.
Final check-in: I left my house every day of February. I’m planning to keep it up throughout March too, although hopefully by the end of March the weather will be better and it will feel easier to get outside without being something that I have to focus on.
final check-in: I think I missed two days of nighttime skin routine (total for month). I have moved my body (walking, stretching, foot PT) at least five days a week. my living room, kitchen, and bedroom are manageable (an improvement) in terms of tidying.
Final check-in:
Uhhh I was trying to do something this month? Let’s call it a total fail in trying to improve my bedtime and early morning routines when my toddler is growing molars and/or going through a sleep regression.
As of now… Flossed and journaled every night in Feb! Usually even for small things like this that take like, 5 minutes tops I would still break the chain at some point, so…
Really fell off the wagon the last week because my partner and I were on vacation, but still did way more reading and stretching than I would’ve done this month without a goal! I’d call it a success.
Stretch: 23/28 days
Read: 23/28 days
Workout: 100% goal met! Did not miss a day of my regimen
Duolingo and fruits or veggies with every meal - check!
Nighttime routine - no check. Random pimples in weird places are still happening, so IDK what to do with that. Oh well.
Final check-in - Nope.
Final check-in: I made it into bed before 10 every day of the last week. I did miss several weekend days during the month, but only by a few minutes.
Final check in: success! I did my thing every day. (One day in week 3 was only half credit, since I rinsed the day’s dishes but the dishwasher was still full of clean dishes.)
Is 4 weeks enough to form a habit that will actually last? I guess I’ll find out this week.
Final check-in – nope. Completely fell off the bandwagon for the last two weeks. Work has been really stupid and I am not a competent human right now.
Well, several more days where I didn’t clean out the sink before bed, but getting it done in the morning seems to work well enough for me so I think I’ll try keeping that going through March.
Calling it a success, I missed the weekend just gone due to birthday celebrations and general laze but that’s still lots cleaner than before the month! I’m going to attempt to clear out the right amount of things to catch up for the last weekend this week anyway.
I stopped reporting in at some point that likely coincided with a reduction in daily intentional movement but also coincided with not GAF (pandemic and February blues and terrible weather). 🤷
A little late checking in.
- Putting - nope
- Reading - nope (but I find I go in spurts where I read 10 books in 2 weeks then nothing).
- Sugar - nope
- Exercise - yes. I have successfully been doing 2-4 45 min classes per day. I’m not a maniac, but it gets me moving just from committing to go, rather than thinking I will go and it doesn’t get done. I am noticing some changes which are wins.
A. Stretching /yoga: I can touch my toes; I was finally able to do happy baby which I never could; I’m getting closer to the ground on things; SO says I can kick higher (lol he was teasing me one day and I jokingly tried to kick him). Yoga also becomes play time with the cat when I do it in the living room, so she enjoys it too.
B.strength- the strength classes I have been doing have been kicking my butt. But I do what I can and push through. Again, even the days I say I don’t want to do it I drag myself to the basement and do it. I have transitioned from dumbbells to using the barbell with weights again (even if it’s low), I have done more squats and lunges in the last 5 weeks than I have in years and hate them all, but they are getting done.
C. Body definition - I think I can see my arms changing? My biceps seem to be coming back, and my shoulders. Things are starting to get a wee bit firmer.
I’m late checking in but I did do a stretch or strength training every day this week. One time I remembered in bed and just stretched my arms a bit. I actually did two strength training workouts yay!!!
I’m just gonna go over here with my 30 mins/day…
