Your Driscoll’s berry packet weirded me out. I zoomed in and they are Mexican not Australian. Off to research multinational berry corporations
They’re actually a California business! They’re headquartered pretty near me.
I swear we discussed this already! My imaginary forum conversations are usually pretty detailed though, ha.
Driscoll’s is in Australia as well as the US, in partnership w Costa. Driscoll berries in my city are from Mexico.
Yep we discussed Driscoll’s already. Still feels weird!
I went into my pantry to grab chickpeas for hummus and it’s still tidy in there. I found what I needed and didn’t need to move a million things out of the way. So weird. The power of the forum, folks. Group threads end up making my life better in all kids of odd ways.
Oh phew!
That’s so exciting to hear about your pantry!
Haha, yes, we definitely did! I was flabbergasted when I first learned they were in Australia too. They apparently grow berries in 21 countries and sell them in 48. o___o
ETA: Honestly learning this was massively important for my better understanding the economy of my county…
I spent almost $400 in food and alcohol today . It’s a freezer/pantry replenish. Because of how we decontaminate our groceries, I can’t do a full haul photo shoot, but snapshots and receipt incoming. We were running low on a lot of basics in our freezer and pantry.
Veggies drying after a wash:
Quarantine bin with nonperishables. Bonus GoofCat.
Quarantine overflow (canned goods, cookies, breakfast bars):
Fridge sneak peek. Milk/cream from this trip. Veggies and leftovers go here eventually.
Have I mentioned I HATE all the plastic in pickup orders? also, there were 3 dozen eggs that I forgot to take a photo of. Total was like $60 I think. The chicken, eggnog, and chips are for Christmas.
This thread works nicely with the January challenge. Referencing the picture helps me when I’m categorizing.
Got stuff for a pizza night. Went lazy and bought pre made dough.
Eta ignore the fudge it’s Christmas leftovers that I used to hold the round things from rolling away.
Your groceries look delicious and fresh @Bracken_Joy!
This is not everything we bought, but it is the stuff I bought to fill the pantry as I expect grocery delays soon. Next step is to write up a list of the items that don’t make it directly into the pantry, so I remember to turn over stock. Cost about $400.
I’ve been so happy with the produce picks lately! This was a pickup order even! Amazing. The green beans the last couple times have been just perfect.
I love stock up photos. It’s so much harder to take pics than a smaller order, but it’s so pleasing. Especially all lined up like that.
I actually did a grocery shop! I think for the first time since September? Most of the time we just go to the shops every second day and spend $20-40 each time.
It was an online order done by click and collect. I made some errors (light tonic doh, at least it isn’t made with artificial sweeteners) and so did the person at the store (my goats cheese was supposed to be marinated!) but overall I call it a success.
The mangoes were overripe but refunded by a robot within a minute of flagging it.

I love the refund robot.
And that coffee machine…swoon that was definitely on my coffee machine wish list. Those switches.
I feel a bit bad for the robot because Pikelet insisted on eating the 1/3 of the mango that was kind of ok (ok in the same way turpentine mangoes are ok), but neither were mangoes worthy of a $2.90 price tag.
Nah don’t feel sorry for one of Australia’s largest corporations writing off a few dollar bux.
They’ve been making money hand over fist since the pandemic started.
I have a soft spot for them because when I was an employee as a teenager I was paid more than the award and was looked after pretty well. I think I wrongly assume they are still somewhat nice. You’d think the stolen wages scandal might have changed my mind but when you are treated well once t sticks I suppose.
And woolies delivery in paper bags? I’ve only ever seen the plastic, that’s a nice change!
It’s an extra $1.50 on the order
