We didn’t get far with the heat and yesterday 's sun burn, but we did find another neighborhood park down a back alley that we had only seen on the map before.
This looks like tomato plants with rain water capture, taking advantage of the daylight
I can’t post another post here until someone else says something, so editing to add that i had no recollection that this statue is in celebration of multiculturalism.
June 26 - Chocolate Pudding Day, also Take Your Dog to Work Day
June 29 - Camera Day
July 2 - I Forgot Day
July 4 - Sidewalk Egg Frying Day (I’m tempted to actually try this depending on rain)
Also apparently it’s the month for the observance of hot dog and ice cream holidays. Who knew?
Kinda reviving this thread since it wasn’t ridiculously hot out and I went for a walk this morning. Remember when people painted rocks? Anyways, this house has done quite a lot and it’s really cool how when I drive by there is always people stopped and looking at them. The reason I’m posting pics of it is a story my neighbour told me. Seems her kids and the rock house kids are friends, and her kids decided to have some fun and set up a heist. They recorded It, sent ransom emails (The price was Dilly bars from Dairy Queen), were successful and returned them. They posted it all on social media, and the house now has a scan box for people to see it all. Anyways they have done a great job of all the rocks. The cat and cherry pie are my favourite.
Backyard skateboarder was out again this evening. I took the photo from the park and didn’t want to be too weird. The half pipe takes up the whole backyard afaict.
I have loved this sign for years. At first I thought it was a very particular font that worked for the Chinese Canadian cuisine it sold, but then looked closer and realized the letters were peeling.
I meant to take photos of it for ages, and finally did last week.
This week the restaurant is gone and the sign painted over.
First halloween decor sighting of the year! This is in the neighborhood that is one of THE neighborhoods for trick or treating and where we went last year with Kiddo.
