I found pillows! On the curb for disposal.

Frogs are so far proving elusive.

Today is “My bucket’s got a hole” day, so a bucket or something with a hole.

I thought socks would be an easy one for me but we haven’t gone for a walk since I did the last challenge so I’ve only been putting on sandals to go in the yard.

Socks, finally.

Finally got something borrowed. Portland borrowed this slogan from Austin originally.

The maple leaf forever

Or not

(This tree apparently was the inspiration for the song, but it was lost in a storm in 2013, there is still a fine associated with damaging the remaining trunk)

Today is “My bucket’s got a hole” day, so a bucket or something with a hole.

Yesterday was Iced Tea day and the 14th is National Bourbon day, so a beverage of some sort is the next challenge.

Also, duh, I forgot that this being Pride Month gives me an easy monthly challenge - a rainbow!

Dang I wish I had seen this! Just yesterday I was observing the tasty looking bourbon selection in someone’s glass bin while the dog sniffed, haha.

Oh, frogs. I knew I’d never see any in my neighborhood. And even f I did there’s no way I’d get a photo in time. I decided instead to go looking at yard ornaments. Surely someone has a frog statue or other frog-related decor?

I’ve walked many, many miles around my town looking in everyone’s yards. I’ve seen so many decorative critters: dragonflies, butterflies, turtles, lizards, a mouse, squirrels, rabbits, cats, dogs, all sorts of birds, and larger creatures: a pig, a hippo, a giraffe, and many more I can’t recall right now. But no frogs.

Fortunately, I have a (faded) frog in my own garden:

I did hear real frogs/toads in the canal on Tuesday, but I didn’t see them and didn’t have my phone with me for a photo anyway.

~~

I haven’t found any holes in buckets, but here’s a hole in the wall:

I walked the 2 miles to my friend’s house this evening to drink pina coladas on her porch.

Hole in a fence!

And I FINALLY found a frog! It was not happy about being between a brick wall and a road, and was even less happy when my dog and I came by.

I really need to get better about taking walks. How is everyone else doing?

June 21 - Daylight Appreciation Day
June 22 - World Onion Ring Day
June 24 - Swim a Lap Day

I’m going to borrow those into something to do with sunlight, rings, and swimming. (I think I know where to find some tadpoles for that last one.)

Also rainbows for Pride!

It doesn’t fit with any of the themes but I thought it was cute.
