How’s everyone doing? I’m in overwhelm and have frozen on my list. I finished 4 of 7 tote bags.

Christmas took over. Surprisingly it was Hubby who started asking about it…the man who doesn’t believe anything. But he wanted his cookies! :joy: So I spent the last 4 or 5 days baking and cooking as much in advance as possible. Hopefully that means I’ll have a bit of a break Christmas Day.

He also surprised me by wanting a Christmas letter and Christmas cards. So together we concocted a letter, and I used old cards purchased in past years. It was time consuming because he couldn’t make up his mind about the letter. He wanted it edited down so it was only 1 1/2 pages long, so we could fit a couple photos on it. It started out 5 pages long. It’s an almost totally impersonal letter now, which causes me to wonder, “Why send it?”

If it sounds like he’s gone into manager mode, you’d be right. Once a manager, always a manager. I teased him about his staff going on strike if he wasn’t careful. He backed down a bit then, and helped more.

Still, my December to do 2025 challenge is a bust. I hope everyone else is doing better.

Still have to deal with the hit by a bus folder, but that may be next week.

Three completions and one new progress mark. Of course I also did a bunch of things I didn’t think to put on the list :woman_shrugging:

I did it! I did my LITERALLY ONE THING besides holiday and holiday prep that I had as a goal to do this month and my teenagers now have an appointment for an orthodontic consult. I realize they probably need 2 consultations to compare but let’s focus on what I HAVE done, not what I haven’t!

I don’t know why it seems so difficult but it was and I have done it, so yay me.

I hurt my foot sooo that’s impeded ability to do much without needing a break, and the start-of-holidays fatigue has hit.

That said, the children’s schoolwork is all sorted into their yearly box, and i have ordered their supplies for next year. I threw out cardboard boxes and bags, and today will try to get through some of the stuff that has been hanging around all year.

And that’s about as done as things are getting for the year since I’m off to visit family (traveling yesterday hence the late update) and won’t be back until right before the new year. Happy to have made a dent in things, though.

And if anymore tupperware lids pop up out of nowhere, they’re going straight to the nearest garbage caan.

I am absolutely not getting it done this December and I have made peace with that

My fridge is currently packed, I will need to eat what I have and empty it a bit before cleaning it. So the oven will be next.
I am so unmotivated to call my internet company, but it has to be done.

Two last things, which I may just be able to complete over the next 5 days (4 of which are off from work!)

I did the things! The “hit by a bus” update took several hours, but now everything’s up to date. There’s one old account I can’t access, but I’ve decided that’s a problem for another day. It’s not a lot of money.

Meanwhile, he has access to a shared Google file as well as the updated physical folder. I need to take it to the bank and update the no-longer-identical folder that’s in our safe deposit box. Maybe that can be a goal for the coming week.

We got all of the vacuum sealed clothing bags sorted and stored in the basement! I can’t believe it! Pausing on moving Ziti out of our room until she’s been sleeping independently through the night for at least 2 weeks hahahahaha so maybe never we’ll see

Almost at the finish line! After tomorrow’s shower, I will drag out the sewing machine and git er done.
