BETTER THAN A DOG ANYHOW
As a child, I always did “a sock and a shoe and a sock and a shoe” and my dad thought it was hilarious and always joked about it.
I have gone back to this behavior lately because then I have to lift each foot only once, and getting a foot to where I can reach it is no joke in the third trimester.
This has also never occurred to me. For people who do one foot at a time, are you wearing shoes around inside the house? Because for me socks get put on in the bedroom when getting dressed and then shoes get put on by the front door at some point before leaving the house so it makes no sense to do both at the same time.
In my case I do socks first but I usually put on socks when I get dressed in the morning then shoes whenever I leave the house. However, this is my method even when I’m barefoot until leaving.
My husband is ALWAYS barefoot around the house. He never puts on socks without shoes at the same time, right when he leaves the house.
I only wear socks inside during the winter.
I wear slides in the house and only wear foot prisons (aka what socks feel like to me ) if I’m putting running shoes on to go for a hike. So I do one sock, one shoe, other sock, other shoe. When I get home I immediately remove shoes/socks and put my slides back on. I hate wearing closed toed things around the house
I often go barefoot in the summer indoors because our AC is set at 77. In the winter, I usually wear my sleeping socks with my slippers until it’s time to put on my leave-the-house shoes and socks.
I can confirm that Marmalade is better than a dog. Whether I am better than a dog, he cannot confirm, as I won’t let him get one
I have never heard a better case for “Sherlock Holmes is autistic”
This is so funny because I am also either barefoot or wearing just slippers around the house 100% of the time and at least in the summer only put on socks when I put on running shoes. But socks still always get put on in the bedroom because that’s where the socks live, so it’s a separate action from putting on shoes
My socks and shoes all live near the front door, because that’s where the Official Socks and Shoes Chair lives.
March-November I put on sandals as I get out of bed and wear them almost exclusively. December-February it’s slippers in the house, with socks a lot of the time. Shoes go on if I’m leaving.
When I have to put on shoes I have to go get socks. I never wear socks in the house because they would be covered in dog hair in two seconds, and only wear socks outside the house when I have no alternative.
Socks make my feet sad.
I almost never wear just socks. Growing up my mom would not let us wear socks in the house. I think she didn’t like how they would get dirty on the bottom? Maybe it was the fur like Smacky says. Even now some of my friends remember the rule
I let the wiggler wear just socks in the house, but if he wants to go outside he has to wear shoes or go barefoot, because I don’t want him wearing out his socks on concrete.
