Flowermaxing lilies here ( to steal madgeylou’s term)
I’m obsessed with Iris and Lilies, but I’m telling y’all, the most charming flowering plant I have just may be this Clematis vine. The cultivar is Roogouchi. It blooms and blooms and blooms, and I’m deadheading it to see how long it will bloom. It has small bell shaped purple flowers. It’s the cutest damn thing and it looks good all summer even when it finally stops blooming after a couple of months.
At my house, it’s climbing to 6+ feet.
Clematis is so pretty.
But also the lilies!!! I love lilies and don’t have them because of cats, so I love getting to see them.
I have indoor cats they don’t go outside. But even when I bring Lilies in the house, they do not nibble on them. They just don’t bother plants at all.
My cat likes to brush up against plants (and even though she’s indoor, we have so many cats in the neighborhood that I’ve elected against lilies).
So, it’s nice to see big patches of them on here!
