Spring is back at our house. We bought Dahlias today so hopefully later this summer we will have lots of blooms!

I want to buy dahlias, but they are supposed to be dug up every fall here (zone 5) and I know I just won’t do that. Maybe I should just try it and see if they live through the winter…

This tulip is right by the sidewalk, and it hasn’t made it to a bloom for many years. Idk if it has been inquisitive small hands, destructive larger hands or squirrels that really hate red.

So I am pleased for every day we get this year.

My backyard tulips which were looking promising only have a few survivors this morning.

Tulip is so showy the UPS person made a comment to the shadowy one.

Mimosa are such unusual flowers!

Oo, thanks for the identification! I didn’t know the name of it and kept meaning to look it up.

This is the first of my peonies to bloom and I bought the plant this year–I think it was started in a greenhouse. But I expect the other peony plants to follow suit any day now!

More peonies! And the pink one is more the color I was hoping for now that it’s fully open!
