Just submitted my tax return. Should get just over $1500 back which you’d think would be motivation enough to submit it, yes? Instead I prepared it, then sat on it for weeks.
I’m catching up on threads that I haven’t read before. I was procrastinating on a project (well, multiple ones really) and this thread jumped up at me. I have now glued the bottom back onto a drawer that I broke a couple of years ago. It is a bottom drawer and I forgot I left it open and stepped in the middle of it. The glue is now setting up and I’ll see if I have fixed it or totally ruined the drawer.
I did the health insurance bullshit thing! It is beginning processing. Need to call another entity later this week to see if they have the thing in their system yet so I can make the next change. Then finally make what should have been a very boring run of the mill appointment.
Followed up on the thing, probably can’t do the next step until 9/1 when the change is “active” (which is kinda bullshirt but I’m not going to be able to change the system myself). 20 minutes.
Did all the paperwork to get Kiddo enrolled in school properly, twice because they were not clear. 2 hours
Applied for a mortgage refi. About an hour?
Starting to seriously work on [annoying work project]. Who knows how much of a time sink this will turn into.
Emailed a stamp dealer to see if he thinks my Dad’s collection is worth coming to my house to view and possibly buy (apparently this is a thing stamp dealers will do for larger collections?). This dealer has a reputation for being fair and none of us has an appetite to try to sell off individual stamps or anything like that, so I hope he says yes. Either way, emailing someone is the first step to getting them sold, and I was putting it off for months.
I did this.
(It was super easy! I could have done it a month ago no problem!! But of course I didn’t realize that until faced it…)
You did it! Go you!
Okay, today I will call my water tank dude and actually order my water tank. I have been putting it off for a week now…
Thanks! But I have all the other things to do now.
I too would like to register to be more like Oro. How does one go about that?
Maybe I’ll be able to tell you once I actually do it!
I was putting off contacting two different tradies that I needed to speak with (blargh). So I called one (left a voicemail), and emailed the other.
Way to go!
I got the annual fee charged on a credit card I only used for the sign up bonus. Finally called to get it refunded.
One of mine posted this week. I need to make that phone call!
I made the phone call! Was able to downgrade to no-fee option rather than canceling. I don’t know if that’s better in the long run (if it will prevent me from getting a SUB for this one again in the future), but at least I don’t have to worry about those points expiring while I’m not traveling since I still have a branded card.
Next I have to send an email I’ve been putting off for weeks. The longer I wait the more likely the answer will not be what I want, but the fear of rejection is paralyzing me.
I’ve finally composed the email. Now I have to send it.
Edit: Pressed send. I think I need a drink now.
Drink earned.
You did the thing!
Multiple teletherapy appointments scheduled, three different appointments which will (in theory) be weekly recurring appointments. Also a meet the teacher (for the student, not the parents).
