Got the paperwork to transfer one HSA into the other. I had two because initially the custodian my employer used had huge fees for investing, but they fixed that-- a couple years ago.
Isn’t done yet, but the next step is done. I’ll have to get the form filled out and sent off to the custodian I don’t want anymore.
I re-registered the car. Registration expired in April, but the state kept extending the deadline and I kept putting off doing it. Got the inspection yesterday and online registration today. With four days to spare! And it is now good for three years!
I submitted the proposal do to a talk at the conference again
I finally made a second attempt to scan the bills/cost information the dental office sent us (the first time somehow didn’t go through), succeeded, and submitted the cost to the HSA for reimbursement. Also, while I was there, I set up automatic investment so if the HSA balance ever gets back up above $2k (the minimum it will allow me to keep as the balance), it will be invested.
i sent off the paperwork to transfer an old IRA, hope it goes okay!
And the HSA reimbursement came through!
I put through some benefits claims, and realized I missed one for $43, so I put that through too.
$180 that I should get back
Finally met with an estate lawyer last night and got a few things semi-sorted as to care of Luigi if something were to happen to both of us.
Luigi thanks you for doing this
My parents, who he adores, get him if something happens to us. If they are not available, my sister said she would take him. He is getting his own little trust with funds for all his expenses.
I used to make fun of those people. Now I AM those people.
Deleted pet stuff
I told the family friend that I would not find someone to update his site, that he should reach out to one of the many community colleges and put the opportunity up on a job board. That way someone at least gets a portfolio piece out of it.
We put up a shelf that we bought months ago. Now we have pictures on it and kiddy art hung underneath. The decoration makes the room feel more homely. We’ve been meaning to do something like this since we moved in almost 3 years ago.
For over a year I’ve had a few straggling emails left unread that I couldn’t find. Today I looked up how to search for unread emails (it is very easy) and deleted them, plus did some other inbox cleanup and unsubscribing. Now my phone does not show that I constantly have at least 5 unread emails. Hurrah!
I did some work planning + research planning for my job that I’ve been putting off for literal months! It feels good.
3 cards written and stamped.
They have been sitting on the kitchen table for 2 weeks waiting for me to have words.
I cut back 3 bushes and 2 trees so nothing is resting on or against our back fence anymore. That was exhausting and now my hand hurts haha.
I repotted a plant that needed it! Also fertilized all my house plants (which all needed it).
We submitted Pumpkins birth registration!
This doesn’t really fully count maybe, but my MIL gave us gift cards for a local food shop (the latest was in Dec 2019), and the in-store scanner worked on them once or twice, but then stopped. We tried printing out the image again, we tried to scan directly from my phone, but we basically gave up and decided we’d figure it out once things had settled down.
In the meantime, they’ve set up an online store and offer local delivery or curbside pickup. So I thought great, I’ll use the cards up that way. But the card number wasn’t recognized. I closed the tab.
They emailed yesterday noting I’d abandoned my cart, reiterating the free local delivery, and offering any assistance. I decided to reply and mentioned the gift card issue. So now they’re looking into it for me. It isn’t resolved, but progress.
