ETA: Roth conversion goal from November - I emailed Vanguard ( I hate phone calls that much). I think all I really want is reassurance I am not totally screwing this up.
On my THIRD followup call.
Okay! Finally gym cancelled! Yay!!
Also paying someone to fix my bike brakes right now.
Good thing we’re nearly done updating resumes. Husband made two phone calls this afternoon and has two job prospects almost to the offer stage, one from the county we live in and one an international engineering company…
I almost forgot while he stepped back to do more school the last few years, but I am not the career rock star in this relationship.
Which totally makes it a budget/money issue. I’ve also been trying to think more holistically about my life and how my stress levels, habits and routines are contributing to my goals and finances and vice versa.
Sneakers purchased!
Definitely not runners, but good for walking the hour to work.
1st Update
I did most of this on my lunch break Monday and yesterday.
Send paperwork for French nationality:
- Notarize my birth certificate and police record at my country of origin embassy
- Fill the form and sign it with MG stating that we’re still living together
- Request a new marriage certificate
- Collect all the papers and mail them
I have started filling the form to request the French nationality but they ask several questions such as the date of birth of MrGeek parents and mine. I have the dates of mines but I need him to provide his parents’.
Finalize paperwork for the kids’ savings :
- Fill the forms to automate BG account and one-off investment for LG
- Have MG sign them.
- Mail them.
I forgot my credit cards today otherwise I’d have mail them those today.
Finalize Christmas / EOY shopping:
- Finalize the kids shopping (online)
- Buy a Christmas gift for BabyGeek
- Go to the outlet shop to buy a dress for myself
- Make my hair et BG’s or make appointment with hair stylist
I need to make an appointment with the hair stylist and I’ll go shopping during the Cristmas break.
Make plans for 2020:
- Send paperwork for reduced work time (4/5)
- Update resume in French and English
- Send 10 job applications
- Plan 2 informational interviews for future career change
- Have a list of goals for 2020
- Make a plan for travels in 2020
I haven’t started on those.
Send medical bills for reimbursement:
- Fill the form for the OBGYN bill
- Reply to insurance mail requesting bills for my glasses
- Fill the form for LG’s glasses
- Mails LG and my forms to the social security office
I’ll mail the documents tomorrow.
Working on 1 and 6/7!
I’ve listed 6 things on Poshmark but haven’t really combed through my closet yet.
I’ve ordered a gift for one in-law parent and have acquired oranges to plan to candy and dip in chocolates. I’ve thought about making marshmallows with fun flavors (maybe peppermint) and making little drinking chocolate gift packs.
Did a giant chunk today, going back in the morning as soon as I’m done with Scary Doctor’s Appointment to work all day on it.
Ok here goes!
Most Important:
- Mark all holiday events on the calendar
- Make sure all our bills are paid
- Fill out and send medical history forms for fertility clinic
- Get the spare room in a state for guests
- buy pillows for the spare bedroom
- Replace the lining in the base of the worm farm with something they won’t eat then fall through
- clean gravel off the lawn
- clean out the panty before the moth infestation gets worse
- organise remaining Christmas gifts
- consider refinancing our mortgage
Less important:
- decide to buy or not to buy a dishwasher
- Obtain containers so we can buy rice and flour in bulk
- Get a replacement tshirt for at least one with holes
Not particularly important:
- Pick new internal and front door paint colours
- Draw up a few kitchen ideas
one thing off my list.
I removed update will as I know I wont have time, and that has been added to 2020 bingo.
1.) Super done. Permanent filling has been installed.
2.) Done. Fireplace still working great. Heat still not on.
3.) Done, although Spectrum is claiming that it’s a setting on my router. Apparently routers have channels and some channels are less stable than others. They suggested I contact Netgear. Well, fuck that. I googled it and figured out how to change the channel myself. Channel changed. Now we wait to see if my connection issues resolve.
4.) Grocery shopping for ingredients this weekend.
5.) 3,022 motherfucking miles DONE.
UPDATE: 4/6 Done, bonus item added
I did a reasonable amount this weekend. Some easy ones ticked off and progress made.
Update for this week: looked into some competitor health insurance quotes but can’t do much until I get a claim finalised with my current policy. Once that goes through, I’ll call them to talk. Going to book skin check next week at the same time as other phone chores. More clothes added to the outgoing pile, must count to see what I’m up to.
Weekend update:
1 Done
2. Put on two loong days, should be able to finish in one more (Tuesday) as long as there still aren’t many people on campus wanting to chitchat/have me solve their tech problems (not my job but a constant source of interruption and a reason I l do much work from home).
3. Done
4. Not started yet
5. Done
6. Not started yet
Hahaha., I know this is “pantry” - but typo humor…
