Create-Your-Own Adventure November Challenge: Stickers Deadline!

Week 2 success, at least a pot of tea a day, where pot = a Hamilton beach electric pourover kettle. You’ll see so much elderflower because I’m trying to take advantage of its antiviral properties. Figure it can’t hurt and might help this winter. Should have enough to get through until the elder blooms again.

  • Monday: mint/elder/cocoa nibs. Bought the cocoa nibs, foraged the rest (if it’s fair to say a wild mint I transplanted to pots on the porch is “foraged.”)
  • Tuesday: elder/blackberry/stevia/hibiscus/rosehip. First three foraged or grown here on the property, last two bought.
  • Wednesday: mint/elderflower/clove (cloves from store)
  • Thursday: Earl Grey (Store boughten) with foraged elderflower
  • Friday: Commercial Bronco tea from Tadin. Eucalyptus, licorice, mullein, elderflower, couple other things I forget, maybe slippery elm or wild cherry bark. Intended to aid breathing, works. Couple pots.
  • Saturday: mint/elderflower/cocoa nibs. Cocoa bought, rest foraged.
  • Sunday Bronco tea, several cups so far.

Week 2 Update:

  1. Outside everyday. Yup.
  2. Financial review/do: I completed annual benefits enrollment and mailed the confirmation to myself. I kept everything the same. Costs went up a tiny bit, but I earned incentives that will make the cost slightly lower than this year.

I reviewed pension information and learned that I can’t cash out with a lump sum until I reach early retirement age.

I used the new financial tracking spreadsheet I created.

  1. I did not do anything with the bathroom project this week. I probably won’t do anything with it until later this month.

I bought some Xmas gifts! And applied to a house rental. I’ve also been decluttering and packing boxes like a mofo, so I’m giving myself an A for the week.

Stretching and other self-care exercises are going well enough that I cancelled the massage I had previously scheduled for this week.

Wk3D1: hour long walk with friend Mon
Wk3D2: 30 min stretch yoga Weds

I want to try to do two more this week…a jog, a long walk, or real yoga if I can motivate myself…though I will stick to stretchy yoga if I need it!

Late to check in week 2:

Yoga 3 days, swim 3 days
Step count increased by 20,000 for 70,000 steps for the week.

With being away 4 days I’m playing catch up this week on the step count to reach last week’s counts, and should hit class counts for this week.

@Smacky sorry for the delay as I couldnt check in earlier.

Week 3 check-in

I met my goal of 10 study sessions! I filled out the bottom of the page with my mantra for the month.

Now I’m aiming for my stretch goal of 20 by end of month.

I approve of your colorful stickers.

NaNoWriMo is on track. I’m just about 2/3 through as of yesterday. I thought I wouldn’t finish the novel this month as I intended it to be a slower-paced story, but… I’m pretty sure I’m 2/3 through the story as well. I think I’ve done NaNo so many times that my natural first-draft length just is 50k words.

Week 3 complete with 0 drinking alcohol, and the impulse to drink just because has definitely weakened.

I’ve had no additional caffeine (but really want some today, I’m sleepy; otherwise it hasn’t been hard in the last few days)

I’ve had one hard seltzery thing yesterday while waiting in a friend’s garage for her to get ready to go on a walk that I didn’t realize was alcoholic until a few sips in. I didn’t even get buzzed but I felt kinda dumb for not reading the label.

I still “want” a “glass of wine” in the evenings when certain events are annoying me, but ignoring it and just doing something physical instead of reading/watching shows is working really well to break the psychological loop of relax+wine.

I don’t remember my third thing so I’m probably doing it.

OH wait - no purchased sugary treats. I have a package of allergy safe cookie dough in my fridge but I haven’t eaten any of it yet. So half a win on that one.

No medicine doses missed.

Stupid marketing class done. More engaged in new marketing class, but today a quiz was just all fact recall, I missed all the questions about Twitter, and my grade was shit. I’m sad.
