Week 2 check-in: I got outside again a few times this week! I also had some time to listen to my audiobook which wasn’t originally listed as part of this adventure, but I’m adding it now.
these are the hardest situations to account for, I feel like!
No booze month - another good week. I did buy two bottles of limited edition rye this week from our favorite distillery (pandemic winter stocking up) and had a small sip to taste it the other night.
Otherwise it’s been a lot of water and herbal teas in the evening.
Week 2 done. Only coke zero out
Week 2 check-in: I have done duo every day but I’ve missed a few days of stretching and there definitely has not been any yoga done. I’ve reached the beached whale stage of pregnancy and even attempting to stretch is a big ask. I was overly optimistic about what I could do this month.
Yay, I took Pomsquad class on Wednesday for my weekly workout class, and I did my stupid time sheet every stupid damned day.
Week2, Day2: Real (not stretchy) yoga with friend Thu
Week2 day3: 25 min walk after work today even though I Did. Not. Want.
Week 2:
- Outside every day. Yes! Decent weather again most of the time. I’d gotten out of the habit of dog walks when late pregnancy made me really nauseous, but I like how they force you outdoors. Even the stormy days have some nice pockets. Dingo made a friend (named Canyon!) yesterday and they romped and wrestled beautifully. I also added a few extra miles when going to pick up diapers by bike.
- Net negative objects Not doing so hot on this one. It feels like there is so much trial & error with baby flotsam! I’m buying lots of different sleep sacks at 3am, hoping one will contain magic sleeping dust. Tiny victories include moving a few extra jars & tupperwares to outbox, listing a few things on BN, and returning a table I didn’t need. Huh. Now that I wrote it all out, I’m at -1 for the week!
NaNoWriMo still going well!
I did 3 times a sport session (2 rehab, 1 walk)
Budget is 98€/250€ veggies, meat, cheese and some random stuff (horseradish, chips, …)
No works on weekends is really a challenge, usually I start the laptop Sunday around 6pm and start prepping for the upcoming week
This week is special as we have a campaign where I have to attend 1 Call Sat+Sun (duration might between 5min to 5hrs, depending n findings etc) But I hope for the best.
I had also to spend 10 Euro as I was fined for speeding, Limit was 70 km/h, I was driving 78 km/h
Update! Woo!
-5 minute stretch breaks - success! Did this consistently every day, and it really helped my focus/my back not getting too stiff
-Get outside during work day - mixed. Did this more than usual, but not every day.
-Read 5 books - halfway through 1. Uh I better get to it, lol
-Keep exercising outside - success! Weather has been quite good still. Some lovely hikes - photo from one below.
-Knit the scarf of doom - making good progress. Annoyed because I will probably have an entire extra skein of expensive yarn, but c’est la vie.
@diapasoun how goes it for you?
Checking in early today, but not planning on going anywhere so it shouldn’t matter.
- Two more gifts taken care of, trying to sort out if sibling and spouse actually want anything or if a general restaurant-delivery gift card would be better (I suspect they’d prefer the gift card but figure I should ask)
- Dollhouse rebuilt except for the porch, moving on to repainting the insides and telling myself it doesn’t need to be wired for lighting. It will probably get wired for lighting. Also dug up the giant clock I need to get rid of and am in the process of fixing the arms. I’m hoping to get both listed on the local exchange boards immediately after Thanksgiving.
- Up to $46 spent on groceries, still mostly fresh stuff but I added a couple winter squash to see how well they keep. Even in non-plague years I avoid the grocery stores right at the holidays, but now it seems like I should avoid them for a couple weeks after, too, especially with cases spiking.
- No more money on impulse purchases, so that’s good.
- $1101 to charity or non-501c3 (categorized for match purposes), planned and fine
Week 2: walk everyday except Tuesday I did a yoga class. Saw three friends this week also made a start on tidying up the garage, hopefully only a little bit more to do (then I have to tackle the store room but that is not included in this challenge!)
Week 2 (Nov 8-14): exceeded stretch goal
four walks, two kayaks, and a bike ride. 485 minutes and activity 6/7 days. It’s good to be moving regularly again!
Check-in: doing well! I’m glad I set realistic (okay, easy) goals this month, since we’ve had illness and varying levels of exhaustion and all that other good life stuff. Getting outside into the garden every. single. day. is such a joy.
week 1
Running: two runs, as per normal
Walking: Double daily walkies, as per normal
Veg: Made list of veg on the fridge (fuck, why have I not done this before?) and am using up said veg decently so far
Knitting: Continues apace, but really wish I were magically faster
Books: Finished The Tomb of Atuan , got literally six others on the burner because I’m insane – focusing on Sense and Sensibility and English Villagers of the Thirteenth Century
week 2
Running: Three runs, as per usual, and as per usual the weekend run that doesn’t start at 7a but instead at 9a is the easiest.
Walking: Back to the normal walk schedule, even with some rain yesterday.
Veg: Fridge list remains extremely useful. We did clear some stuff out of the fridge, which was helpful (ugh, we just really got behind on everything in October), and now we’re re-set to a sensible veggie life.
Knitting: Continues apace.
Books: Same focus and making some progress at least.
Shed done
Week 2 check in
- Spending $511 (took care of some gift giving)
- No major item completed but I made progress on a video I have to do. Work was busy and I crashed out in my only free day this week.
- Walked 1-2 times per day. Exercise routine before bed except Thursday. I’ve gone from being able to do 0 “real” pushups to 5!
Week 2: I’ve been doing self-care activities but stopped writing them down or noting how helpful they were.
Week 2:
Exercise:
biked 3 times, 20 minutes each
walked 3 times, roughly an hour each time
yoga 4 times, 20 minute each time
Total of 6 days, 5+ hours
Duolingo: keeping that 150+ day steak alive!
