Covid-19 discussion

For me the department of health services is where i got the state info. And my countys public health office had the county info more broken out.

NY times has a dramatic graph tho for WI as whole

Here’s a graphic from, I think, the New York Times, showing rapid decline:

Covid Act says my 176.2 per 100k is “SEVERE”. So… what’s all of your insane numbers called?

I think this is possibly a per week number, while other numbers people are sharing are per day? Or am I confused?

Yeah I think mine might be per week too, the dates are each a week apart

Mine

Lol divided by 7 that’s still 315 a day.

Doctors without Borders is sending me 5 N95 masks for being a “partner”.

My husband said “That’s not what we donated for.”
I pointed out we are a country in a severe health crisis…

(Though, really, I hope this doesn’t count in their “program” spending; but is the spending they plan to keep donations coming. Better than address labels.)

How do you have more daily cases but lower infection rate than me?

Infection rate is the R0 value, so how fast it’s spreading.

You’re technically gonna have to deduct the fair market value cost of those masks from your donation on your taxes…

Oh yeah it might be week/day on the per 100k stats. I’ll poke more later.

We’re at 205/100k in daily infections, with a 7 day positivity rate of 28.5%. It looks like it’s leveling off though?

So stats. We just had SirB get tested, cuz why not. But Latte and I aren’t counted in the stats at all then yeah? There’s gotta be a lot of families like ours.

Yup. You could call your health department and let them know you’re sick but no one is automatically reporting your case if you don’t get a PCR (or maybe some surveillance testing programs with rapid tests).
