Sure looks like it! I love Sandhill Cranes. Such cool birds. I feel lucky to live somewhere they are common.

Yes I see them in central Florida in January, so I was pretty sure of my ID. But confused.

With it being in the wrong location Merlin app wasn’t able to ID it, despite what I think was a pretty clear photo.

I’ve never seen the migration. That must really be something!

May or may not be the same bird in the first photo and the other two. Were at least two red-shouldered hawks out and about, making lots of noise. Saw the one from my office, while on a call, and took a hurried photo through the window. Then kept hearing them flying and calling out, so I went out and got this one mid-flight.
