BINGO 2026

2026 BINGO Will run through all of 2026

Couple notes for those who have played before:

  • Updated rules more loosey-goosey than before

PRIZES
I would like to do prizes again for bingo but with the change that each person may only claim ONE bingo prize. If anyone wants to provide a prize let me know. Feedback welcome on this restriction.

Fill out a bingo card filled with your goals!

Making Your Card

A standard bingo card:

typically has 25 spaces, with one of those being a free space.

Create a BINGO card with up to 24 goals.

TOOLS

There are tools online where you can fill in a bingo card and have it randomize for you.

This one allows you to randomize just column-by-column. So you can have a column be a category of goals if desired.

But you can use whatever you want either digital or physical.

RULES

  • You can join/complete your cards at any time in 2026.
  • If something happens that makes it impossible/bad to complete a goal, change it. If a goal isn’t desirable for you anymore, change it. Life changes. People change even mid year. No restrictions, no hard feelings.
  • Please do not critique the goals of others and offer advice only if solicited.

Goal-Making Guidelines

  • Secret goals are allowed, you can just use a code word or decoy goal or simply ā€œsecret goalā€ square on your board.
  • Goals don’t all have to be huge. Be kind to yourself. Have fun. Put ā€œpick my noseā€ and ā€œpet the catā€ in there with ā€œget a new jobā€ and ā€œbuy a houseā€ if you want.
  • But goals can be huge and/or something you might not complete! Any single row done is a bingo and a success.
  • Consider that some goals like ā€œdon’t do x all yearā€ or ā€œdo x every week for the whole yearā€ can’t be officially finished until the end of the year. These aren’t prohibited, just keep in mind it could make getting BINGO before Dec. 31st harder.

Marking this so I don’t lose it…need to go back and close out 2025 (pretty sure there was one bingo and not much else, but anyway), but it’s fun to put together and at some point I’ll get to the house projects column.

Marking it for myself too.

Bingo time!!!

I should maybe do some of the items I’ve been putting on there since we first started doing this.

Gonna come back soon with my goals. I think I may have two bingos this year (I want to do house bingo with Wizard).

I don’t think I got a single BINGO in 2025. I’ll have to check.

I think I may have the energy to do this. :+1:

Okay, ended up doing basically no work today (my code was compiling, I swear) and put together a couple cards. First one is mostly the ā€˜big’ things, finance stuff, house stuff, travel plans, and the second is more art/creative focused (although some of that is cleaning up/culling supplies because it needs to happen). And I was stretching it with category naming by the end

ETA, @Greyweld if anyone wants a temari I’m happy to provide one, although I may have to limit to the US (not sure about international shipping, it’s not something I normally do)

** Over 50 pages or this will be done on day 1 via Ms. Sandra Boynton
    *** Except bras/underwear
**** Dunno how I’ll keep track of this because I’m really bad at tracking when #s get large.

I’m afraid I have a boring household chores BINGO card for this year. So I decided to add a Creative BINGO card as well. I’m already started these. Once again I’m being an over-achiever and going for full completion of both. This should be good for a laugh! :joy:

I feel like I want to try to actually do this for once because I know I need direction, a plan to follow to achieve things, but also, I find just makign it so hard? How to choose? I only come up with things that are the things I have to do and should do and then it just feel like drudgery. I guess I don’t know how to lighten it up? I don’t know, any advice for just starting?

What are some things you’d like to do that are fun?

Like, what about listening to X number of new albums this year? Or really concentrating on truly listening to an album, all focus?

(ETA: And the goals don’t have to be big!)

That is why I actually have 2 BINGO cards. In the past I’ve only posted one on here - the stuff I really need to do or that’s outside my ā€œfunā€ zone. I started different BINGO cards for different areas of my life a couple of years ago. This year I posted my Creative BINGO along with the regular BINGO card.

But come mid summer my focus will probably do a shift for the second half of the year. I will add my Canning/Food Preservation BINGO card to my personal cards.

I just find this visual way to grasp all my want-to-dos/have-to-dos in a few seconds, really helps me in understanding my workload and prioritizing.

Sometimes I rebel and don’t finish a project, but that’s telling me something too. If I have too many of those projects on my BINGO card then I need to figure out what my problem really is. Often, for me, it’s attitude, no time (ie. not a high priority), no money (again, not a high priority), fear of failure, or the converse, fear of success.

It can also be or become a goal that requires more of other people’s input and help than they are willing to give, causing stress in relationships. If that’s the case, the goal is not done. I try to make all my goals self-sufficient ones I can do without help…or ones that already have ā€œbuy inā€ from the other people involved.

Update:

Took down Christmas today! It’s late, but it’s done!

We are still cleaning Zone 7 - the master bedroom. We have about two more days work to do. Deep cleaning the closet, and to sanitize the bed and wash linens.

I started a winter canning plan, but it hasn’t been marked on my BINGO card yet.

For the Creative BINGO card:

  • The sunflower banner is half done.
  • I finished dyeing the green yarn for a customer.
  • January Open House went well enough to try again in February.
  • All set up in the studio to machine quilt the SK quilt.
