Definitely a solid read. I have many thoughts. I think that gouging out of the actual middle class is so accurate. My household should be middle to upper-middle class, but when I look at the prices of goods and services and how we’re actually doing? We are middle class and everyone lower is worse off and all of us are more poor relative to the actual cost of “living” but the definitions of lower/upper/middle havent been updated to account for the rising inequality or inflation.

Tangentially related to this article, I’ve been trying to temper my consumption of all the criticisms/critical reviews of Everything. Food, TV, online content, movies, etc.
I’m torn because taking a critical look at things can be super beneficial, but after a certain point it’s just too much! So, I really like the podcast If Books Could Kill, but at one point during a roadtrip I was like SHUT UP why do have to pick apart every thing that exists ever??? But also I can’t stop reading/listening to that kind of stuff??
I’ve stopped reading any reddit snark and I think that’s definitely a positive but that was lowbrow to begin with haha. Also trying to not look at restaurant reviews, movie reviews prior to going, etc.
