Isn’t remdesivir still rationed to hospitals and in short supply?
If there was ever a week or month for everyone who works in the White House to call out sick, this is it.
I really wish Joe Biden would refuse to debate with him in person. Even if Trump tests negative, he can’t be confidant that the people traveling with him are negative. The risk is too great for all involved, from Biden to his staff to the workers who need to be at the event to the audience.
I’m really curious to see if anyone will go to his rallies now.
Has anyone heard if any cases have been traced to the events he did late last week? I think there was a rally in NJ, and maybe a fundraiser in MN or another state?

Outbreaks have been traced in the catering staff in NJ fundraiser, the main high-level infections have all been clearly linked to the rose garden nomination event for ACB and several white house staff - both household and policy side - have now tested positive.
Claudia Conway (Kellyanne Conway’s teenage daughter) has been leaking stuff on tiktok because she’s a teenager with like 1 million tiktok followers and she’s sick with covid after her mom brought it home and didn’t tell her family. (She’s the reason her mom said she tested positive, after Claudia said so on tiktok first and reporters got ahold of it).
Anyway, Claudia seems to indicate that trump is NOT well and they’re throwing everything at him.

I like that Biden stopped negative campaigns/ads the moment Trump went into hospital, and then lifted them as soon as Trump decided to put even more people at risk by leaving hospital.

I heard an interview on NPR with Mary Trump, his niece, saying that Trump’s father viewed any sort of illness as a sign of weakness and a personal failing. On the one hand I don’t want to lend too much credibility to her but that explanation would sure explain a lot. It gave me the impression that Trump’s father was incredibly mean and Trump learned that the whole world is out to get him, hence his focus on always appearing strong and not vulnerable in the least. It gave me a certain amount of compassion for him, which is not the same as thinking he is in any way qualified to govern. But he’s so haunted by what others will think or say about him he has no room for how he is impacting others. It sounds like a very fear-based life and a terrible way to live.
I am floored that Kellyanne Conway did not tell her family but put them in danger too. Was her daughter attending in-person school? How many infections will be traced back to Kellyanne? What on earth was she thinking? No wonder her daughter has filed for emancipation.

Remdesivir has a side effect of delusions of grandeur doesn’t it? (this isn’t sarcasm, H mentioned it the other day but I haven’t confirmed. I just trust his grad school pharmacology knowledge haha)

I definitely thought there was going to be some last minute COVID relief package passed. Then the Republicans would say look at all the things we have done for you! These delays were all the democrats fault! Apparently that’s not happening. I find the logic fascinating. I wonder how worried the Republicans are that they are giving up on something that likely would have helped their cause for something that is making them look like horrible hypocrites.

I have at times wondered if he is really trying to lose, or if he believes he can do anything and get away with it. Like holding large rallies that sicken or kill his supporters. Like the payroll tax cut that will eliminate social security and Medicare that older Americans depend on. Or eliminating financial support for millions of people who haven’t had sufficient work or income for months. Or ending the ACA which in the end has become popular because a lot of people feel they really do need and want health insurance.
I half expect him to decide he feels good enough to go out on the campaign trail again, push himself too hard, and have an incident while traveling or on the stage where the medical help he needs is not readily accessible. I’ve reached the point where there’s nothing he can do to surprise me anymore, short of suddenly becoming reasonable and rational.
