I have a pretty easy diagonal bingo in the works.
I’m at 47 of 52 emails unsubscribed, so that’s getting very close.

Too lazy to get my journal and take a picture, but I got to cross off “see an immersive art thing!” Totally unexpectedly too. I just happened to catch an insta story of a local artist saying “hey, come check out my thing, tomorrow only,” and I jumped on it and it was wicked cool. Plus I feel wicked cool for finding out about this amazing and totally underground event.
Updates below!
We also brewed our first beer of 2020 (cracked open the first bottle this week and it was delicious!), so halfway to filling that square in as well.
I think I already know one or two things I’m going to use my changeover on. Ponderponderponder what I’m going to do.
Mediated every day in February
Making progress in some other areas, I found a great deal on a used jogging stroller that I plan to get on Saurday, One student loan is very close to being paid off, $1,000 savings in emergency fund.
I am probably going to remake the BINGO card to focus more on paying down SLs versus Savings but not 100% sure yet.

My increase networth has gone backwards with all the share market stuff happening, but hopefully I should be able to mark off one square this week
I started meditating on Feb 3 and have done so every day since. Some days I really didn’t want to, but I was far enough in that I didn’t want to start over for a new 30 day period.
Grocery bill for February was $205. I’m coming in just a few dollars over $50 per week. But it’s much better than what it used to be!
I made good progress eating through the freezer. With coronavirus now in my state, I’m thinking eating down too much is not a good idea. I may go with cans for vegetables in case I can’t get out to shop or have groceries delivered and continue to empty out the chest freezer, but I can’t claim that one now.
No immediate path to a BINGO yet. I want warmer weather for some of the items on the list. We’re getting closer! This week has been beautiful. But still not quite right for camping trips or leading mtb rides.
I signed up to volunteer at the preparations for a shelter event, since I will be out of town for the actual event. It’s above and beyond my normal duties, so I’m going to count it. That will happen in a few weeks, even though the event itself does not happen until the weather is (hopefully) warmer.
I sent 1 birthday card in Feb. Will send another one next week.
I made good progress in Feb: I met up with some friends in Portland where I hiked on a new-to-me trial, and I made florentine cookies for the first time this weekend!
Progress on a lot of goals has been stopped
-Volunteer at a shelter event: canceled
-Not leading any hikes or mountain bikes rides
-Volunteering at a trail work day - not for a while
-Eat and empty the chest freezer uh going the other direction for a while
-Host a gathering at my house umm not til you guys have stayed HOME for a while
-Gosh I hope East Coast trip still happens we’ve got a while yet
But
-I tried the first of four vegetarian recipes tonight Black Bean and tortilla soup, got to use up some tortillas that tasted pretty good despite how long they’d been in my freezer
-I have mailed two of three birthday cards
-Maybe I can try making cheese soon
-Working on the Notebook for my beginning yoga class and the online yoga anatomy course would be great projects while I have extra time on my hands
-I’ve gotten a bid on solar energy without any face to face interaction
I can knock out some goals but I don’t see a BINGO happening until we can all socialize again. But that’s plenty to keep me busy for a while.
I loooove black bean tortilla soup.
Are there things that were done on trail work days that you could do solo, or was that not the purpose of that goal?
frex I used to do guerrilla gardening of a local public garden space, a weekly visit early Saturday mornings keeping the thistles and other weeds under control. Plus dropping all the empty twisted water bottles from around the basketball courts into the recycling bin.
These are usually trail building days that are coordinated with the landowners, designed trail design, etc. I wouldn’t want to try and contribute without supervision.
On my last walk it occurred to me that taking gloves and an empty trash bag would be a good community service.
I think covoid19 will make some of these not possible, but will leave things there for now, as we are only 3 months into the year.
The recession is definitely making some of my goals non-viable.
Time to think of some new ones.
ANNOUNCEMENT
Due to the changes from Covid-19 and the stock market changes, everyone has carte blanche to change any goals made impractical or unsafe due to these things. This is in addition to your one free re-write during the year.
I know it’s still early in the year, but it might be a great time to re-adjust those bingo goals that require money saving or going out into the world to things that you can actively pursue during these next weeks or months stuck at home.
Thanks, Greyweld
I definitely don’t want anyone breaking shelter-in-place to have that dinner party on their bingo board
Hahaha this is good news, I’d already used my one re-write early on and was now side-eyeing my increase net worth 50k stretch goal. LOL. Also that dinner party.
Yeah I saw that 50k NW increase on your board and I’m like um, I’m pretty sure my NW has dropped by that much already this year…
