This photo is even worse but I just saw a fox!!! It was like fifteen feet from the deer but was on the move. It’s the first time I’ve seen a fox since we moved here.

A male Cardinal landed on the windowsill of “Maple’s room” (my office) today and she has NOT stopped checking to see if he’s back.
Nature is cool.

I was at my parents’ house last night and was asking Alexa to play music for me, choosing things randomly. All of a sudden my mom perked up and said, “Oh, [Godmother] and I did a dance on stage to this when we were in seventh grade!” She sat there for a minute smiling and repeated, “Oh, this just puts me right back in seventh grade.” It was such a sweet moment.
I can’t wait to see if my godmother has a similar reaction next time I see her.

A customer on the phone today accidentally called me “buddy” , and I bust out laughing and we both had a good giggle about it and I just really needed a good laugh with a random stranger on this Wednesday. Haha

My kid is wearing a sleepy monster pajama shirt, Batman pants, a “firefighter” costume vest thing, an adult size glove leftover from a ring wraith costume, and a plastic participation/olympic medal. I wish he’d dress himself more often just for more fun combinations like this.
Also the chocolate cake I made myself for my birthday turned out great and there’s plenty leftover in the fridge. Also vanilla pudding, which was part of the cake, so tonight I will have chocolate cake topped with pudding.

Was reading an animal book to Bobbin and said the word “Snake” with a really long drawn out S sound and she looked at me and did it herself! Bonus was that she has one giant front tooth, two tiny bottom teeth, and did it with that cute little baby tongue sticking out - I almost exploded from cute. She’s such a smart cookie!

The wiggler loves clocks. And he can’t say the L sound very well. So it sounds like cock. My favorite is “robot clock”

We let Bobbin play with a pile of newspapers and she found a Geico ad with the gecko on it and loooooves it. She carries it around and kisses it, and when I told her it was a gecko she started saying “gek-go! Gek-goooo!”
