Strategy
For my first word, I wanted one of the “really common letters one” (but also has some meaning related to the masses playing a game on their phone every day… and do other things on their phones, too!) Then I tried to stick with common letters/words for the second word - and given what I had in mind for the first word, the second one had some meaning that was relevant, as well.
TL;DR I think I got lucky!

Strategy
I almost always use mealy as my first word. So, I knew the a was correct add the m and e were in the wrong spots. I deduced that the last 3 letters must be _ _ ame. I looked at it for a good 5 minutes before I could come up with 2 letters that would work for the beginning of the word.

Summary
Dordle today was nonsense! SOOTH is the kind of word I would use in Scrabble but … not a game like this. Glad I got it early.
Meanwhile with wordle my brain felt full of cottonballs. Took me a while to think of plausible answers.
