I haven’t been playing long enough to run into this but I think your archives example is a particularly challenging (aka common) letter grouping!

One reason I start with a consonant heavy first word (sport/ports) is that it eliminates many common letters quickly.
Then I move onto a vowel heavy word (adieu if nothing pops in sport, or another word if playing in hard mode and I have to use letters from ‘sport’
Next depending on my mood and what I know at that point I use remaining tries to tackle “ck” or “ch” along with one from the list of f/n/m/b/y depending on what I already have deduced.

By the third guess I had eliminated some common consonants and wanted to find a word with ck, I knew it had an A and decided to also test Y with “wacky” which got me very close.
