FWIW my husband and I have both sometimes felt bad from flu shots, and neither of us did this year. Also, the baby had no fussiness after her two flu shots but does with some of her vaccines. So I dunno if this years isn’t as bad for that? Holding out hope for you, either way! And yay well done!
We are here and sending hugs to you! You’ve already done the hardest part, tbh. You got this.
The flu shot is mostly smaller and takes less time to get than other vaccines I’ve gotten. I’m usually presently surprised that it’s already over. And this year my arm barely hurt for 24 hours and I had no other reaction.
You got this. Also you are being brave! Go you.
That is awesome
Done! I also bought a donut (and a free coffee) on the way home as a reward to myself.
Omg I get mine tomorrow afternoon & I’m honestly freaking out
You’ve got this, JJ!
Thanks. It’s not the needle at all, it’s my fear of a reaction
It’ll be fine. I react every time, and it’s still fine, and I’m an edge case. The injection site might be a bit sore, especially when poked, so don’t poke it. (My reaction is I feel kind of cruddy for a few days and then I’m fine.)
I am thinking many good thoughts for you.
Thx y’all!
My appointment is in one hour.
I’ve eaten, had extra water, have plans for delivery for dinner, and have a light work schedule tomorrow.
Maybe pack a snack like a candy bar or a granola bar
But you’ve got this!
You got this JJ!!!
Wohoooo it’s so exciting that you’re doing the hard thing!
Celebratory potats for everyone doing the thing:
I hope it went well and that you’re at home on the couch now
And enjoying some delivery (er, maybe without cat hair)
OMG THEY ARE SO ROUND
I thought they were guinea pigs at first.
Thank you. I did it!!
I used my gift card to get cat food and I’m mostly vegging out now trying HARD not to do chores.
I feel achy. That’s it so far.
