Partner is the player in our house  made the post it for her heh

I am enjoying “Zelda: Echoes of wisdom” so much! My 7 year old has already finished it.

I love the art style, the mix of puzzles (with multiple ways of solving, rather than locked in like a point & click puzzle game), and a bit of direct fighting.

Anyone got reccs for other Switch or PC games with a similar vibe?

NOSTALGIA. Not since I was a wee one tho.

I started Jedi: Survivor! I can give Cal Kestis a mullet and it’s a crime against fashion.

do you want to be friends?
my account is baby new since there’s nooooo way I’ll be able to recover my original.

@Oro nostalgia is the exact reason why I started again xD

Absolutely! I’m ladyanimeeyes, feel free to request & Neomail whenever!

I find there’s something vaguely surreal about Neopets managing to exist into the present day, which I enjoy in addition to dressing my pets up cutely. But definitely nostalgia is like 75% of the experience. And with Ruffle integrated you can play more of the Flash based games again.

If you’re not on the Neopets subreddit or its Discord, there’s a pretty lively adult nostalgia community there. I only really use the community Discord for merch news or staff announcements. The subreddit has some great niche memes. (Eta: and definitely check Jellyneo for any item release or plot info stuff!)

Steam sale time!
Husband/Kiddo have enjoyed Slime Rancher, currently on sale for $1.99
Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order is $3.99
Big City, Little Kitty is not on as much of a sale at $17.49 but I’ve been enjoying it lately, it’s got Untitled Goose Game vibes but I’ve played way more of it in the weeks since I got it than I ever did of UGG.

Has anyone else picked up games this week or is thinking about it?

Core Keeper, amazing 16 bit dungeon crawler, 100% recommend. I am playing co op with a friend, it’s great. My friend thinks it has a bit of OG Zelda vibes and I agree. (We are old enough to remember lol.)

I also bought the Stacklands bundle a few weeks ago, not sure if it is still on sale, but it is also very enjoyable.

(Literally everything in my wishlist is on sale, it’s so hard not to just buy everything!)

I’m playing It Takes Two with Mr. Meer. We had heard good things about it as a co-op game but no details. It was a, uh, surprise when the plot at the beginning (I was barely expecting plot) was about a married couple on the verge of divorce, and they have an elementary school aged kid. We’re not on the verge of divorce but it was very :eyes: :eyes: when we were in the “we are going to attempt to do this as a way of spending time together in the narrow window of time after our kid is in bed but before we go to bed” mode.

That said, it’s been really fun so far and they seem to do a good job of making sure it’s engaging for both players.

It’s an… interesting game. We never finished it, but had some fun playing it together.

There’s some… plot devices… later… that kind of shocked us, too.

Basically… something about entrapping and torturing one of the toys.

We didn’t make it that far, but it has some weirdness along the way! Eager to hear more about it from you!

We finished it! We mostly liked it but I thought the ending was pretty abrupt and also felt bad about murdering the elephant queen

I also kind of felt bad about the first boss battle where the poor vacuum cleaner just hasn’t been fixed in a while. So I’m not ruthless enough for many boss battles.
