They have trikes at the biggest accelerator at Argonne NL! At Fermilab, they have little golf cart things.

Hubs did some work at Fermi (maybe 20-25 years ago) - maybe they used trikes then?

Maybe! It’s also very possible that they’re still in use in certain parts of the lab. I never saw much of the old Tevatron.

new type of antibiotics discovered at McMaster in Canada

Now I want to know why they chose that particular Hamilton backyard, and if there is something special about it, or if it could be in my backyard too.

They likely sampled lots of places. A colleague did that to find an alternative to Agrobacterium.

Hamilton is also really interesting because it’s a steel town, so the bacteria & other nature stuff are dealing with some important challenges.

Interesting! Bacteria adapt FAST because of their very fast cell cycle.

FINALLY a new antibiotic - it’s greatly needed.
