Dropped off art pieces at gallery. No idea if anyone will actually buy anything or not, but it’s kind of cool and not something I’ve ever done before (and it’s $0 unless something does sell, so that’s nice).

My car problem was only a battery problem and they fixed it for me, even though they aren’t technically opened on Saturdays. So I have my car back two days earlier than expected and for much less money than expected.

We went to our favorite Italian place for Marmalade’s birthday and their gf pasta was amazing. House made by the chef after lots of experimentation to find a good recipe, and I would never ever have guessed that it wasn’t made of flour.

Went into the casino last night as we were walking to the parking lot we were in next to it. Put $10 in the $1 slots, 5 min later had $150 and walked out. I’m usually the person who walks out with a quarter lol and got 2 free tequila shots and Bahamas mama at the bar we were at beforehand. Great night!

Over the past week I went through a box of second hand kid clothes my MIL got for us last year to find what might fit kiddo this winter. Added a few things to rotation but could probably stand to get a few more pairs of pants for when the cold weather is around for more than a few days at a time. I had mentally added “Shop online for adjustable waist pants because going to a physical store is more annoyance than I want to deal with right now” to my mental to do list, but then a coworker with an older kid stopped by my desk this morning to say she had a bag of clothes for me at home that she meant to bring today because he kid has also outgrown pants. Shopping avoided!

I got all Christmas cards addressed with handwritten notes done - 75 for work (multitasked on the plane ride home Friday night). Finishing a couple of personal ones now. They will be ready to be stamped and sent for December 5th. I know this is very old school and traditional, but I deal with a lot of tenured business owners and I know they enjoy this. Maybe next year will be strictly digital.

I accidentally took to many meds and am now tripping balls. So I cancelled my day and am not making decisions or spending money. I am, however, about to eat pizza in the bath. While a robot cleans my floors.

Some not-very-friendly people bought the worst house on our block (ex public housing; had housed a lovely family that was twice the size the house could actually take and the govt had spent nothing on maintenance for what looked like decades). The whole time they’ve been renovating it, I’ve been looking at what they’re doing and thinking gee that’s ugly. And now, all of a sudden, their design choices have all clicked into place and it looks gorgeous.

My love has had intense shoulder pain for a little over a year. After giving up on the local medical talent and trying some stuff from the strongman gym rehab team for 4 days, something shifted and the pain is gone. Just. Like. That.
Why aren’t those folks my first stop every time?
