I got replacement erasers for my favorite mechanical pencil that I’ve had for 5 years. ![]()
Hey, those are my favorite mechanical pencils too! 0.9mm rules ![]()
0.5 4 lyfe
Agreed! Anything over .5 is like writing with a crayon.
As long as we collectively shun the 0.7 lovers I will form a coalition.

But @kermit and I will know the truth
I’m on board with this
More good pencils for us!
oh hey, can i join? i took a whole box of these when i left work, don’t tell anyone.
(I use 0.28-0.50 for pens, but 0.9 for pencils because they are the best for pattern tracing imo)
YESSS
lol!! I took enough post-its to last 3 lifetimes. Turns out I use way less post-its when I’m not in an office.
I took a lot of pens when I left. They lasted only a few years, I should have taken more ![]()
i used to like to steal sharpies and legal pads. sure, i could buy them myself, but it’s less fun!
We took this one to the limits…when they told us they were closing our site/making us all remote and corporate wanted nothing of what was in the building, we told the local schools/nonprofits to send trucks
.
Personally I’ve got enough tissues/post-its/scotch tape/0.5 pencils (the correct pencils, despite what some people claimed on another thread) to last at least a few years, although sibling is a teacher and is making inroads in at least the tissue and tape collection.
(ETA–left with a bunch of cat5/6 and fibreoptic cabling, too)
I feel like you could sell some of this on Craigslist to the right buyer ![]()
Did not know your site closed!! ![]()
Oh, it gets even funnier because corporate just approved a site in my town.
We pointed out that they quite literally still own a building that they haven’t been able to sell for 2+ years*, and they suggested renting/furnishing a set of offices in about the most expensive location possible, one that also has no free parking. (We all said ‘no, that’s stupid’ which was apparently surprising)
*The site only officially closed ~6mo ago, but they’ve been trying to sell it for a while since despite the fact that we actually have enough solar to run both a decently-sized datacenter and a lab, it was somehow more cost effective to move the former to California and the latter to Arizona. At this point I’m just surprised that the company isn’t losing more money than it is.
Years and years ago, someone gave me all the legal sized notepads left over from a conference they put on in Cleveland. There were boxes and boxes of them. We used them at school. We used them in Sunday School. I’ve still got a couple floating around here. Lol
It sure feels like they try to lose money sometimes (like these quick plan “reversals”).
What??!?!
So sad, it sounds like such a shitshow these days.
I was (and still am) chilling in bed, thinking about getting up.
Kid came into my room and described a problem with his toilet.
I diagnosed the problem and told him how to fix it.
Kid fixed his toilet.
I am a toilet fixing wizard.
