My 87 year old mom played Bingo for the first time yesterday. Her new apartment complex has a really good activities director and she has actually been attending things, surprisingly. Anyway… the Bingo costs .02 per game and the winner (not my mom) got $1.00. ![]()
Y’ALL I saw the Northern Lights tonight for the first time!! And it was only 5 minutes away from my house. I could really see them pretty well just with my bare eyes, which was cool.
Also a Great Horned Owl was keeping us company for a while too ![]()
I’m so happy I could cry
That’s amazing!
wow, that’s stunning
Gorgeous - I am so jealous!
Amazing!!
TV it’s eggnog season!
TC it’s $5.99 per half gallon.
I made a massive life upgrade for like $15. I bought a bunch of wash cloths from Costco to split with a family member. Now I can use a new wash cloth EVERY SINGLE DAY that I wash my face. I can wipe down the sink and not worry about using it on my face again. I have enough to last if we don’t wash towels for over a week. It’s like living in a hotel and this luxury has been shockingly awesome.
Yes!! I asked for washcloths for Christmas last year and now have 20 of them. It’s amazing.
I asked for a bunch for our wedding and it’s sooooo nice to use a fresh one every day
This is what I do for the shower and I love it. I literally have a special towel rack above our normal towel rack where I keep 4 of them so I never forget a fresh on getting into the shower. Peak luxury.
Tragically, the seller couldn’t find them and cancelled the order. I couldn’t find another like-new pair of the ones I have (and for running I really want like-new), which are actually from FOUR years ago so not so shocking, so I ordered the next edition up and hope it’s almost the same. Cross your fingers for me!
More successful finds: Got that adult-size-but-still-growing teenager a $20 coat at Costco so he has something new, and at the thrift store today I found a fleece ear wrap very similar to the one I lost on the playground. Keeping a few bucks out of Target’s pocket!
Shout out to past me who bought two rolls of the canned premade pizza dough even though I wasn’t convinced it would taste good. I used it to make stromboli for the first time ever and it tastes just fine and was exactly the level of effort I wanted - I’m so tired I could barely tell Mr. Meer what was in it because I forgot the words “peppers” and “mushrooms”.
(Don’t worry, I’m making the very adult decision to not go to bed early and will in fact be up late again tonight. I’m sure tomorrow-me won’t mind.)
I feel very attacked.
It’s my PhD-iversary! Facebook is good for something still I guess
Happy phd day!
I found the pair of slightly-too-short wool pants I’ve been meaning to pass over to a friend. Granted that I found them by pulling them out of the drawer they weren’t supposed to be in, wearing them around all day, and being annoyed for most of that that I’d somehow managed to shrink (in one direction) one of my nicer pairs of wool pants, but anyway.
One of my earbud headphones accidentally went though the laundry. I put it in the charging case and it still seems to work just fine!
One of husband’s clients who runs a farm heard about my heart attack and resultant low-fat diet and gave us three pounds of ground venison from their freezer. (Venison is very low fat.)
That is unbelievably sweet
