I have a bananas-burger small business interaction story to share. The V is that I get to keep telling this story forever.
Story Time, entitled "You're Not Ready"
DH reached out to a Wang Chung studio online because he was interested in taking a trial class. He filled out the online form and asked what the prices were and what the process was for seeing if it was suitable. I should tell you now that I encouraged him to do this and reassured him that most places offer free student classes. I know this because we both take lots of random classes and even did a free trial class together where we broke boards!
Next day. He’s at work and the receptionist forwards him a call, which never happens. He picks up and it’s the guy from the martial arts place. My husband did not give him that number, and of course assumed the guy would just email him back since that’s all he gave him. Instead of taking that humdrum route he looked him up on LinkedIn, saw where he worked, and called the main office line.
That’s not the end of the story. The guy sounds, DH says, “really off”. We are pretty inured to colorful city characters at this point in our lives, so I asked what he meant and he said he was “maniacally laughing” at nothing at one point, and then asked him about coming by and signing up for classes, being super pushy. DH firmly was like, “I’m at work right now. I can’t talk,” and got off the phone.
Today, he’s at work and the guy calls again. He’s pissed off that DH didn’t call him back! He starts laying into him about it and then starts talking about classes and DH is like, “dude this is not ok and I’m at work,” and tries to end the call and the guy starts screaming, and this is my very favoritist part, “You’re not ready for Wang Chung! You’re not ready for Wang Chung!” which we will be saying to each other for years to come.
And he ended with, “And you’re not even strong.”
Just. Epic. 
Anyway that’s when my husband hung up on him. He was pissed off, which I get because work and respect and invasiveness and things, but clearly the guy is having his own problems. It’ll be hilarious to DH too, eventually, but it’s already hysterical to me right now and I needed to share.

Tomorrow’s in-office day was switched to a work from home day by my supervisor, due to incoming storm. Tomorrow is a half-stat, my day starts at 7am therefore the half-day will end at 10:30am. The storm is supposed to arrive here around ten am.

I am having dinner tonight with two friends from my class this semester. Making friends here since covid has been really hard, so I’m excited!
I also got a new dog sitting client who literally lives in the townhome across the parking lot from me. So convenient for both of us, and it’s just walking the dog during the day so doesn’t affect my sleep or routine at all!
