You are perfect.
I would agree completely if not for this cold sore.
Not exactly a victory on my part except that I actually made a phone call, but kudos to Chewy.com. I had Cat2’s food/medication coming from them and cancelled the auto-ship when he passed (Cat1 is on a totally different diet for his kidneys), but apparently the cancellation didn’t go through and they shipped again anyway. I called to see about returns/refunds, but even though they did issue a refund they said not to worry about returning any of it, to just donate it to the local rescue when it arrives.
The cleaners came and dirt I had stopped noticing is now gone. Things are weirdly bright and clean. I feel very fancy in my filth-less house.
Baby E said her first official word tonight! I came downstairs and she looked right at me and said mama!
Yay!!!
Yay!
I saw a white sweater up for grabs on buy nothing, no description or anything but it was a nice cable knit and was a staple missing from my wardrobe. I just picked it up it is a theory brand sweater? It is wool with at least some cashmere in it? What in god’s name The giver really just dropped that one out of nowhere I thought this was likely to be a sweater from Forever 21…
edit: this is nearly 100% cashmere and I literally feel close to vomiting out of elation. but also I don’t even know how to live with this sweater, I guess it needs dry cleane
What a find! You can handwash it with wool wash or shampoo, just make sure to use cold water and don’t agitate it much or it will felt/shrink.
I have several thrift store cashmere sweaters. I wash in the machine and hang to dry without damage. The first had mothholes in it so no real risk - I wear it for a pajama shirt in winter.
Yea I hand wash my wool, some of the less nice stuff I will machine wash with wool lite and lay flat to dry
Oh my gooooooood I just messaged her again “Omg thank you so generous, I see why you didn’t list the brand you would’ve been mobbed” She said a friend gave it to her but it didn’t fit, she didn’t even check the tag I kind of feel bad, but, not at all This will never ever see the inside of a washing machine haha (especially not the washing machine slash garbage disposal models in my building)
Oh, and don’t wash it every wear. Just wash when it starts to need it, which varies depending on how you do inner layers + what activities you wear it for, but maybe once every 3-10 wears.
Nothing cozier than a great sweater for the fall!
Tony Vic: It’s been winter for a month and yesterday I finally got my bedroom window to close the whole way. It’s dramatically warmer in my room. I love it.
Complaint: It took me a month to do this.
More complaint you should be making: it’s been winter for a month. I’ll not tell you what my weather is like today, because I think you wouldn’t like me anymore.
I struggle to like anyone in a better climate (which is everyone) when Hoth is Hothing.
My cashmere/silk and cotton/cashmere get an underarm spray of water/alcohol and then laid to dry. I’ve had the cashmere/silk for over a year now. I have every intention of giving them both a good soak in Soak at some point (fancy/gentle fiber wash aimed at knitters) but have yet to do that.
I have given away 15lbs of garlic to neighbors in just a couple hours.
I can’t even visualize 15 pounds of garlic!
