Tiny Victories

My daughter isn’t a year old yet, and has tried over 200 foods now. (Yes I’m keeping track. I gotta keep myself entertained)

A woman in my moms group found out a friend is struggling to get pregnant. I’m open about my “journey”. She reached out to me through messenger to ask what she should avoid saying or doing, anything that could help, etc. It was super thoughtful and lovely and I wish more people were like her.

That’s really cool!

I’m roasting some squash seeds in the oven and I can hear them snapping away from the living room.

I just bartered a spaghetti squash that I didn’t want to eat, for some artisan gouda cheese. Win!

Did another phone bank, talked to some very sweet people. Go democracy!

But where are they snapping away to? Are they doing one of those existing in two places at the same time particle physics kind of gigs, or what?

Apols, bwain is on a neurochemical high of some kind right now, and I couldn’t stop myself… :grimacing::grin:

This just arrived. Very excite, much wow.
And I’m aware of the irony of an advent calendar for a household that doesn’t celebrate Xmas. Bite me.

I got two advent calendars this year. One is a cheapy Star Wars one that’s actually for Christmas December, the other one was just a way to get more relatively cheap figurines and is barn yard animals or some such thing. I bought them a month or two ago on sale and stashed them away, I look forward to the reaction of the male-type people in my house when I bust out the Star Wars one.

A super good sushi restaurant I’ve been wanting to try happens to be in between my dentist and doctors office. I am treating myself to so much sushi to make up for a terrible and medically invasive day.

You are smart and good. I hope the sushi is incredible.

My veggie soup is souper good. I could probably eat this for several days, and I probably will.

I see what you did there.

I finally ordered some much needed clothes for Duckling and myself, and added some cloth masks to the order.

I received tea bags, along with a card from @RamonaQ in the mail! (Because she said it felt weird to send something without a card. I laughed.) And the envelope had fun stickers on it! This is such a lovely little corner of the internet. Thanks so much, Ramona! You made my day! Now I anxiously await the tea from @anomalily.

Yay! I’m happy to share the tea bag wealth and I’m glad you enjoyed the card and stickers! True story, I was bummed because I had MUCH COOLER blank notecards at work and a very limited selection at home but I figured the tea bags were the most important part, so that is why you got a seasonally-inappropriate card.

Seasonally inappropriate cards are the best! I am not picky about cards because I’m receiving a card and that’s the best part!

All of the orders that didn’t contain the out-of-stock purrna colada tea (unless you got in during the first 30 minutes of pre-launch and nabbed the first run of purrna colada) shipped yesterday!
