Tiny Victories

Instead of just grousing that the library didn’t have a book I wanted to read (although the have the next 3 in the series!), I put in a purchase request. Just got the email that they ordered my book and it will be available on Tuesday!

YAY LIBRARIES!

I showed up to work out even though it felt like I was dying and I wanted to just roll around on the floor instead. AND I STUDIED JAPANESE. Separately.

My BIL has a girl’s name. Not a gender neutral name, though it sounds like one to me since he’s the only person I know with it. His offer of employment was addressed to “Ms Brother In Law”… Despite people having met him for interviews?

I wrote up a school schedule for this week but I thought it would be a push to get through everything in five days. We finished in four!! I have the same amount of work slated for next week, here’s hoping it goes well too.

My kid appreciates how lovely the cleaners make our home and doesn’t seem to take it for granted.

I drove bigger kid to school. Britney came on the radio so I sang along and car danced. He rolled his eyes and groaned so I told him that brit is lit a f, fam. Then he died so I only have one child now.

Challah! Just plain this time, with honey as the sweetener.
My favorite is with marzipan in the centers of the braids. <3__<3 But that is more work and more desert than bread LOL.

Found out yesterday that my current community garden location will still operate in 2021. (It’s common for them to close and move elsewhere as they are popup sites.) So even if we have to move and I lose the backyard, I’ll have that plot.

In related news, I need to buy some seed garlic.

I’m a little embarrassed to admit this, but I actually tried Stitch Fix and got it through there. (I desperately need fall clothes, hate shopping, and don’t want to go into more stores than necessary.) I think it is one of their proprietary brands but you might be able to find it used somewhere. I’m 5’6” and pretty much covers my butt. Oh, and it has pockets!

The butt cover isn’t a worry as much as the arms. I end up with accidental 3/4 length sleeves far too often :grimacing:

Ty!

I’m tolerant of 3/4 sleeves but cannot stand the just-above-the-wrist-bone length that is most common on my arms  There’s just no way to hide that it’s not on purpose; they’re just too short!
