Tiny Victories

As much as I hate it when Boyfriend goes to the grocery store rather than JUST EATING ALL THE FOOD THAT IS ALREADY IN THE DAMNED HOUSE OMG… I’m pretty excited that he came home just now with ice cream. Usually we don’t keep it in the house and go to the ice cream shop down the street instead, but it’s always packed with people swarming the sidewalk standing in line in a non-socially-distanced manner, so I haven’t been able to have any yet this year.

I stopped by the garden store and got to pet their kitty! KITTEH!! I thought it was trapped in the seeds/gift shop area since she seemed so demanding of attention, then when I was checking out I saw that she was able to go in and out as she pleased. I would have taken a picture to share with y’all but I left my phone in the car.

I have an interview with an evil megacorp in 2.5 hours. It was unexpected. The pay is … high even to me. 5 and out. Maybe?

One more, sorry. Not tiny, this - this is the end of Trump’s hopes to dominate the military vote in November.

I just saw that the House and Senate passed an extension to the PPP loan. It will give you 24 weeks to spend the money rather than only 8 weeks. My boss got money and has already spent the maximum amount he could for the 8 weeks, but he’s got some money left. I’m crossing my fingers that I will get a few more “free” weeks since my commission based sales are not looking good for the next few months. He did pay me 8 weeks of my base pay amount which I don’t have to “pay back” with my sales, so that’s already super helpful.

For a week or so I have had several dislocated ribs. At least one of them was pushing into my lungs and making breathing feel like torture. Last night I tried out the opiates my doctor had prescribed. I slept for 12 hours and woke up with no ribs sticking into my lungs. I have other ribs out of place so I can’t twist or bend, but breathing is easy again.

Thank you, scary drugs.

A lot of complaints to GET to this point, but it sounds like we’re back under contract and the house purchase is going forward again.

It’ll be a victory to get this house and this financing. Even if they’re foul people and I want to throw a pie at their agent. :grimacing:

The foul people need to move out and give you your house.

They are out. But I might channel my inner hippy and smudge the shit out of the place. It’ll take a lot of sage…

(Okay, maybe I’ll just settle for replacing the carpets and repainting)

GOOD LUCK!!! Maybe it was a game of chicken and they were seeing if you’d still accept the offer without a roof concession-- and you won! How long until closing if everything is on track?

Closing near the end of the month. No work on the place until after, so we’ll need to overlap housing by a few weeks :weary: I might even make it a month (and put in notice after close) in case the psychos try to pull out of the contract before close.

This is all assuming the appraiser doesn’t come back and say we need the new roof to close.

Oh no you didn’t just say that!:astonished:
