My eyelashes used to freeze together when I lived on top of a windy hill in Hoth Lite, and used to walk around with my eyes almost completely closed to keep the snow out of my eyes. I never got over how hilarious it was to walk into a building, try to open my eyes, and then need to spend a few moments with my hands held to the lashes to melt the ice.
In this climate you dont turn lemons into lemonade, you turn them into lemon popsicles.
Finally was able to publish an article I’ve been working on for weeks!
Now I want lemon popsicles. The thought of them is very satisfying.
Talking to a man who has a woodworking company about a custom tabletop for my studio. He isn’t trying to over design it and charge me out the wazoo AND he genuinely seems to understand what I need! YAYYYYY!
YAAAAAS
As a child I wasn’t allowed to go out with wet hair and let it freeze, so I would suck on a piece of hair and twirl it into magic
I kinda love that frozen eyelashes feeling. It’s neat.
It is very cold today (as is usual after a storm) but also very sunny! And bright, because of all the new snow! Sunny beats out cold, because I can sit in the sunbeams coming through the front window like a cat.
I wanted to go to the movies today, which makes this a bit a problem though. Maybe I will go at 5pm.
After reading all these very nonchalent stories about bits of oneself freezing, my tiny victory is that I live in Florida.
Where is it currently 73 degrees out.
Shut up, man. We’re busy making lemon popsicles over here.
My Tony Victor is that I moved from Hoth Lite™ to Perfect Weather But Also Always On Fire™.
Did my taxes
- and for the first time ever didn’t owe money
- and for the first time ever figured out the free fillable forms
Wait, where are you? Because I also live in Always On Fire and it is decidedly not perfect today!
I’m coastal-central Always On Fire. It is blue skies today, though a bit windy. I won’t mention temperature because I don’t want to break the Hothians.
Man I miss the central coast. I don’t miss the prices, or the fires, but I liked the other stuff
Ngl we’re kinda awesome. I mean, the prices are horrendous, but we’re still kinda awesome.
Look, it is not often I get to claim living in Florida as a victory and not a complaint. Give us 3 days I’m sure we will mess something up horribly again.
Victories:
- I went to the gym! (although the trip was cut very short for non-victorious reasons)
- My friends came over! I love them.
- They brought a huge smoked ham and some yams and we baked them all then gorged ourselves, with mango for dessert! (although my food did not stay down)
- my friends (IRL and here) are generally incredible and I am very very lucky.
I had many pizza.
